Selvin Pennant
Selvin Valentín Pennant Taylor (born 4 January 1950) is a Guatemalan former footballer and one of that country's most prolific goalscorers ever. He played for Deportes Aviación in the Chilean First Division for three years, and was a member of the Guatemala national team from 1969 to 1980, playing in three World Cup qualifying campaigns and at the 1976 Olympic Tournament. The 1973 CONCACAF Championship, the sixth edition of the CONCACAF Championship, was held in Haiti from 29 November to 18 December. All matches were played at Stade Sylvio Cator in Port-au-Prince. Michel Platini
Michel François Platini (born 21 June 1955) is a French football administrator and former player and manager. Regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, Platini won the Ballon d'Or three times in a row, in 1983, 1984 and 1985, and came seventh in the FIFA Player of the Century vote. The 1972 Olympic football tournament, held in Munich, Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Nürnberg, Passau, and Regensburg, was played as part of the 1972 Summer Olympics. The tournament features 16 men's national teams from five continental confederations. The 16 teams are drawn into four groups of four and each group plays a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the second group stage, where the second-placed teams in each group advanced to the bronze medal match while the first-placed teams advanced to the gold medal match held at Olympic Stadium on 10 September 1972. 1969 CONCACAF Championship
The 1969 CONCACAF Championship was the fourth edition of the CONCACAF Championship, the football championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). The tournament was held between 23 November to 8 December. Six teams participated in the tournament. The event was hosted by Costa Rica in the city of San José. Seven teams qualified, but Haiti's disqualification left six teams to play in the round-robin format to determine the winner. Jorge Roldán
Jorge Roldán Popol (16 November 1940 – 8 June 2023), known popularly as ''El Grillo'' ("cricket"), was a Guatemalan football coach and player. A midfielder, Roldán played almost his entire career for the local team Aurora F.C., being perhaps the most emblematic individual ever to represent the club. He also became a member and later captain of the Guatemala national team, being part of the squad that won the 1967 CONCACAF Championship, and participating in the 1968 Olympic Games and in two World Cup qualifying campaigns.
