''Sellam Nethnam Lellam'' ( si, සෙල්ලම් නැත්නම් ලෙල්ලම්, italic=yes) is a 2017 Sri Lankan Sinhala comedy, family film directed by Tissa Dias and co-produced by Mangala Madugalla and Piyumika Wijeratne for Sathjaya Films. It stars Jayasekara Aponso, and director Tissa Dias in lead roles along with Wimal Kumara de Costa and Mercy Edirisinghe. According to the producer Mangala Madugalla, the film finished its production four years ago, however with the competition to release the film, it took four years to screen the film. It is the 1286th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. This is the last film of popular TV actor Srilal Abeykoon before his death on 16 April 2020. Goniya Malimage Jayasekara Aponsu, (born 23 February 1951: Sinhala:ජයසේකර අපෝන්සු), popularly as Jayasekara Aponsu, is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television. Apart from that, he is also a director, and script writer. Personal life Jayasekara Aponsu was born on 23 February 1951 in Nuwara Eliya. Aponsu is married to Jayanthi Aponsu and they have one son, Thamira Aponsu. Aponsu first met his wife during a drama school conducted by him at Mount Lavinia in 1970s. They married in 1978 after the love affair. Due to many circumstances and money problems, he abandoned and missed his wife and son for a 30 years of time, until they united in 2016 March. Though he abandoned them, his sisters and brothers came closer to his wife and son in that crucial thirty years. Wimal Kumara de Costa (4 July 1948 – 20 November 2016 as විමල් කුමාර ද කොස්තා inhala was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema. One of the most popular comedy artists in 1980s and 1990s, he started cinema career with character roles in art films where he later moved to comedy roles in cinema. Donna Mercy Nalini Edirisinghe (18 December 1945 – 17 March 2014) was an actress in Sri Lankan, cinema, theater and television as well as a singer. She is also well known for her role in numerous comedic television shows and radio dramas, the most famous of which is a radio program titled 'Vinoda Samaya', in which she acts alongside Annesly Dias, Berty Gunattileke and Samuel Rodrigo. Tissa Srilal Abeykoon (31 December 1953 – 16 April 2020 as ශ්‍රීලාල් අබේකෝන්) inhala, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television.
