Srilal Abeykoon
Tissa Srilal Abeykoon (31 December 1953 – 16 April 2020 as ශ්රීලාල් අබේකෝන්) inhala, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. One of the most popular television actors in Sri Lanka, he is most notable for the trade mark role "Appuwa" in the television serial ''Kopi Kade''. A talented singer, Abeykoon is the only Sri Lankan singer to sing 500 songs for cassette after singer Nihal Nelson. Personal life He was born on 31 December 1953. Born in Rajagiriya, he was educated at Diyawanna Vidyalaya and Hewavitharana Vidyalaya. He was also educated at Walisingha Harischandra Maha Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura. He was married to Dominica Wasana Meethani Wijenayake and the couple has two children. He lived in Bothale area in Ambepussa before his demise. Rajagiriya
Rajagiriya is part of the Sri Lanka's administrative capital of Sri Jayawardenapura. A fairly large suburb bordering Colombo, Rajagiriya lies between Borella and Ethul Kotte, straddling Parliament Road. History The area was originally known as ''Welikada'' and stretched from the Ethul Kotte bridge to the tram terminus at Borella. The Welikada Prison was originally within the village limits. The name ''Rajagiriya'' came from the former governor's residence, the grounds of which extended from Madinnagoda Road in the north to the Cotta road in the south. The house and grounds were later purchased by Ananda Coomaraswamy. Malini Fonseka
Wanniarachchige Malini Senehelatha Fonseka, popularly as Malini Fonseka ( Sinhala:මාලිනී ෆොන්සේකා) (born 30 April 1947, in Kelaniya) is an actress in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television as well as a director. Often considered as the "Queen of Sinhalese cinema", Fonseka first became widely known when she won the 'Best Actress Award' at the 1969 National State Drama Festival. This was followed by Sarasaviya Best Actress Awards for ''Hingana Kolla'' in 1980, ''Aradhana'' in 1982 and ''Yasa Isuru'' in 1983. Nihal Nelson
Nihal Nelson ( si, නිහාල් නෙල්සන්; 9 January 1946 – 13 December 2022) was a Sri Lankan vocalist, songwriter and composer. One of the most influential singers in Sri Lanka, and considered 'undefeated on the concert stage', Nelson holds the record for the most albums recorded by a Sri Lankan artist, at a total of 113. Personal life Nelson was born in Moratuwa on 9 January 1946. His father was a businessman and his mother was an English teacher. He started primary education at Innocent Maria Mixed School (now known as Rawathawaththa Roman Catholic College). After passing grade 8, he entered Moratu Maha Vidyalaya where he completed his GCE Advanced Level schooling in 1960. It was here that he began to focus on making music.
