Sella Ronda
The Sellaronda is the ski circuit around the Sella group in Northern Italy. The Sella massif lies between the four Ladin valleys of Badia, Gherdëina, Fascia, and Fodom and is divided between the provinces of South Tyrol, Trentino and Belluno. It can be driven around by car crossing the Campolongo Pass, Pordoi Pass, Sella Pass, and Gardena Pass. In winter it is possible to ski around the entire massif by using the ''Sellaronda'' ski lift carousel. Also each winter the alpine touring ski ''Sellaronda Skimarathon'' race is held, which leads around the entire Sella and covers 42 km of mountain trails. Skiers are advised to set off before 10am to make sure they complete the circuit before the lifts close, as it can take up to six hours to complete depending on the weather and your ability. Gardena Pass
Gardena Pass ( it, Passo Gardena; german: Grödnerjoch; lld, Ju de Frara or ''Jëuf de Frea'') is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites of the South Tyrol in northeast Italy. At an elevation of above sea level, the pass connects Sëlva in the Val Gardena on the west side with Corvara in the Val Badia. The road over it comprises part of the famous Sella Ring, in which four linked passes (Gardena, Sella, Pordoi, and Campolongo) encircle the spectacular Sella group. The route becomes busy with tourists, motorcyclists, and cyclists during the summer. There are tourist accommodations on the pass itself, and hikers visit the pass to access the dramatic Dolomite mountains. Sella Pass
The Sella Pass (german: Sellajoch; lld, Jëuf de Sela or ''Jouf de Sela''; it, Passo Sella) (2218 m) is a high mountain pass between the provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol in Italy. It connects the Val Gherdëina in South Tyrol and Canazei in the Fascia Valley in Trentino. With Pordoi Pass, Gardena Pass, and Campolongo Pass, this pass forms a quadrangle around the Sella group. In the winter, ski trails are prepared that make the entire round in both directions, known as the ''Sella Ronda''. Pordoi Pass
Pordoi is a pass in the Dolomites in the Alps, located between the Sella group in the north and the Marmolada group in the south. The pass is at an altitude of , and the road crossing the pass connects Arabba (Livinallongo del Col di Lana) with Canazei (Fascia Valley). It is the second highest surfaced road traversing a pass in the Dolomites, after the Sella Pass. Starting from Arabba, the ascent to the top is 9.4 km (5.84 mi) long. Gherdëina
Val Gardena (; german: Gröden ; lld, Gherdëina ) is a valley in Northern Italy, in the Dolomites of South Tyrol. It is best known as a tourist skiing, rock climbing, and woodcarving area. Geography The valley's main river is the Derjon, a tributary of the Eisack river. The mountains that surround the valley are formed by dolomite rocks, which confer on them a characteristic appearance. Most of the steep slopes are covered by pine woods. The favoured cultivations are barley, rye, potatoes, flax, buckwheat. The three municipalities in Val Gardena are Urtijëi, Sëlva, and Santa Cristina; they were served by the Val Gardena Railway from 1916 until 1960.
