Pordoi Pass
Pordoi is a pass in the Dolomites in the Alps, located between the Sella group in the north and the Marmolada group in the south. The pass is at an altitude of , and the road crossing the pass connects Arabba (Livinallongo del Col di Lana) with Canazei (Fascia Valley). It is the second highest surfaced road traversing a pass in the Dolomites, after the Sella Pass. Starting from Arabba, the ascent to the top is 9.4 km (5.84 mi) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is , with the average percentage of 6.8%. Sella Pass
The Sella Pass (german: Sellajoch; lld, Jëuf de Sela or ''Jouf de Sela''; it, Passo Sella) (2218 m) is a high mountain pass between the provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol in Italy. It connects the Val Gherdëina in South Tyrol and Canazei in the Fascia Valley in Trentino. With Pordoi Pass, Gardena Pass, and Campolongo Pass, this pass forms a quadrangle around the Sella group. In the winter, ski trails are prepared that make the entire round in both directions, known as the ''Sella Ronda''. This is a list of the highest paved roads in Europe. It includes roads that are over long and whose culminating point is at least above sea level. This height approximately corresponds to that of the highest settlements in Europe and to the tree line in several mountain ranges such as the Alps and the Pyrenees, where most of the highest roads are located. Some of the listed roads are closed to motorized vehicles, although they are normally all accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.
