Selkirk—Interlake—Eastman (formerly Selkirk—Interlake) is a federal electoral district (Canada), electoral district in Manitoba, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1976 to 1987, and since 1997. The riding was a battleground between the New Democratic Party (Canada), New Democratic Party and conservative parties that has become more and more conservative as the years passed, and is now a safe Conservative Party of Canada, Conservative Party seat. The Rural Municipality of Bifrost is a former rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was located in Manitoba's Interlake Region along the west shore of Lake Winnipeg. It had a population of about 2,750. Its name comes from the Bifröst in Norse mythology, which is the rainbow bridge connecting Asgard and Midgard (Earth). Lake Winnipegosis is a large (5,370 km2) lake in central North America, in Manitoba, Canada, some 300 km northwest of Winnipeg. It is Canada's eleventh-largest lake.
