Sekuoia
Sekuoia is the moniker of the Danish electronic musician and producer Patrick Alexander Bech Madsen (born 1992). Sekuoia's first EP ''Trips'' was released in 2011 and started a small buzz in the electronic music scene in Denmark and Germany. Career Born in Düsseldorf, and with a childhood in Detroit, Sekuoia first moved to Denmark at an age of 8. In his teen years, he built himself a studio in his parents basement, where he would go on to make his ambient and lingering electronica. In 2012, he attended music school in Engelsholm, where he met Smerz, Chinah and Code Walk. Sekuoia's music has been described as; combining the organic with the electronic in a dreamy meltdown, consisting of dry beats, synth washes and copy/pasted vocals conjure echoes of both dubstep and atmospheric ambient. Roskilde Festival
The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Nordic countries. It was created in 1971 by two high school students and a promoter. In 1972, the festival was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism. In 2014, the Roskilde Foundation provided festival participants with the opportunity to nominate and vote upon which organizations should receive funds raised by the festival. SPOT is an annual music festival in the city of Aarhus, Denmark, showcasing up-and-coming Danish and Scandinavian talent. Tomas Barfod is a Danish drummer and electronic music producer. He currently spends his time between Los Angeles and Copenhagen. While in LA, he works as a producer and currently has tracks on several albums. Biography Barfod began playing drums when he was ten years old, and has been producing as a DJ since the 1990s. WhoMadeWho is a Copenhagen-based experimental pop trio, who formed in 2003. The band consists of jazz guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg, drummer Tomas Barfod and singer/bassist Tomas Høffding. Ernest Weatherly Greene Jr. (born October 3, 1982), known professionally as Washed Out, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. Commonly associated with the chillwave genre in the 2010s, Pitchfork dubbed him "the godfather of chillwave". Life and career Ernest Weatherly Greene Jr. was born on October 3, 1982, in Perry, Georgia, and currently lives in Atlanta. After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, he obtained a Master of Library and Information Science degree but was unable to find a job as a librarian.
