''Season of the Devil'' ( fil, Ang Panahon ng Halimaw) is a 2018 Filipino musical film directed by Lav Diaz. It was selected to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival. It won the Grand Jury Prize for Film in the 2019 Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards. The film has a running time of 234 minutes. Lavrente Indico Anciro Diaz (born December 30, 1958) is a Filipino independent filmmaker and former film critic. Frequently known as one of the key members of the slow cinema movement, having made several of the list of longest films, longest narrative films on record. Diaz is one of the most critically acclaimed contemporary Filipino filmmakers. Diaz started making films in the late 1990s.
