Sean Marshall (basketball)
Sean James Marshall (born April 11, 1985) is an American professional basketball player who plays for Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka of the B.League. He played college basketball for Boston College Eagles men's basketball, Boston College. College career Marshall played college basketball at Boston College, where he, along with 2007 ACC Player of the Year Jared Dudley, were co-captains. He averaged 11.1 points per game in his sophomore and junior years, and 14.8 in his senior year when Boston College went 21-12. While at Boston College, Marshall was roommates with Pete Frates, who was later diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS. Professional career After going undrafted in the 2007 NBA draft, Marshall signed with Pınar Karşıyaka of the Turkish Basketball League for the 2007–08 season. Eskişehir Basket was a professional basketball team based in the city of Eskişehir in Turkey. Their home arena was the Anadolu Üniversitesi Sport Hall with a capacity of 5,000 seats. Founded in 2006, the club played in the highest tier Basketbol Süper Ligi for seven seasons. It also played in Europe for one season, in the 2011–12 EuroChallenge. The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is an open-application, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States. The 2022 edition features 64 teams with a $1 million winner-take-all prize, broadcast by ESPN. TBT was founded in 2014 by Jonathan Mugar. Format Teams in TBT are arranged by the general manager, sometimes based on which college basketball program the players competed for. The tournament has had as many as 97 teams, in 2015, and as few as 24 teams, in 2020. Since 2016, the tournament has most often used a 64-team field. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neuron disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a neurodegenerative disease that results in the progressive loss of motor neurons that control voluntary muscles. ALS is the most common type of motor neuron diseases. Early symptoms of ALS include stiff muscles, muscle twitches, and gradual increasing weakness and muscle wasting.
