LNB Pro B
The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the French basketball league system, 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promotion and relegation, promoted to the French basketball league system, top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. The two last placed teams are relegated to the third level, which is the Nationale Masculine 1, NM1. Ligue Nationale De Basket
The Ligue nationale de basket (LNB; English: National Basketball League) is the governing body of men's professional club basketball in France. The LNB organises the first-tier Pro A and the second-tier Pro B. Additionally, the federation annually organises the Leaders Cup, Match des Champions and LNB All-Star Game. The LNB was established in 1987 by a committee consisting of high level professional clubs from France. In 1990, the LNB overtook the CCHN as the organizer of the top tier competition in France. Gries, Bas-Rhin
Gries () is a commune in the Bas-Rhin département in Grand Est in north-eastern France. It lies 7 km to the south-southeast of Haguenau. Etymology The first document mentioning the name of the village is dated 13 March 826. Gries is mentioned for the first time under the name ''Gerareshusa''. By 830, it is called ''Gerireshusa''. According to the pastor Guggenbühl the name comes from the given name Gerhard. The name of the village would therefore be in modern standard High German ''Gerhardshausen'', which suggests that it was owned by a certain "Gerhard", whose identity so far has not been discovered. A document from 974 uses the name ''Grioz'' which more closely resembles the current name of the village. Denain (; pcd, Dnain) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. Denain had a population of 19,877, on a land area of 11.52 km² (4.448 sq mi). It is the largest of 47 communes which comprise the Communauté d'agglomération de la Porte du Hainaut, which in 2017 had a total population of 158,754. Denain Voltaire Basket is a French professional basketball club that was founded in 1947, and is based in Denain, France. The club plays in the LNB Pro B, which is the second-tier level pro competition in France. History The small club of the Voltaire school, moved up the French basketball hierarchy, until it reached the French basketball elite level in 1960, when it won the French Cup title.
