Élan Chalon
Élan Sportif Chalonnais, commonly known as Élan Chalon, is a French professional basketball club that is based in Chalon-sur-Saône, France. The team's main colors are red and white, and their mascot is a moose. The team's home arena is called Le Colisée, which seats 4,540 spectators. Founded in 1955, the club has traditionally been playing in the Pro A. In 2012, the club captured its first domestic championship by winning the Pro A Final over Le Mans. In 2017, Élan won its second domestic title. The club has also been a regular in European competitions, as the team has been runners-up in three different FIBA competitions. The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the French basketball league system, 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promotion and relegation, promoted to the French basketball league system, top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. Billy Yakuba Ouattara (born January 24, 1992, in Tepa, Ghana) is a Ghanaian-French professional basketball player for AS Monaco of the LNB Pro A and EuroLeague. Professional career Ouattara first began his professional career out in France with the Élan Chalon of the LNB Pro A in 2012 as a 20-year-old. He played with that team for two seasons before signing a one-year deal with the ASC Denain-Voltaire PH, who were a part of the LNB Pro B at that time. Moustapha Fall (born 23 February 1992) is a French professional basketball player for Olympiacos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. Standing at 2.18 m (7 ft 2 in), Fall plays at the center position. Professional career Fall played in the French League from 2011 to 2017. Ilian Evtimov ( bg, Илиян Евтимов; born April 28, 1983) is a Bulgarian-French professional basketball player for Cholet of the French Pro A. He is a 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) power forward. College career Evtimov played college basketball in the United States at NCAA Division 1 school North Carolina State University, where he played with the NC State Wolfpack, from 2001-2006. Steed Tchicamboud (born 18 June 1981) is a French former professional basketball player for who last played for SLUC Nancy Basket of the LNB Pro A. Professional career He played for Élan Chalon from 2010 to 2014. On 26 November 2014 he left Chalon and signed a one-month deal with Limoges CSP. In February 2015, he left Limoges and signed with Chorale Roanne for the rest of the season. On 12 October 2015 he signed a two-month deal with Paris-Levallois. Stéphane Ostrowski (born 17 March 1962) is a retired French professional basketball player. At a height of 6 ft 8 in (2.05 m) tall, he played at the power forward position. David Michineau (born June 6, 1994) is a French basketball player for Napoli Basket of the Lega Basket Serie A. He was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2016 NBA draft, with his rights being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers not too long afterwards. FIBA Europe Cup
The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor. The league was founded in 2015 as a replacement of the FIBA EuroChallenge. History On June 30, 2015, FIBA announced it would start a new league to compete with Euroleague Basketball's EuroCup.
