Scott Jones (curler)
Scott Jones (born November 4, 1971) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. He currently skips his own team. Career Juniors Jones won the 1990 New Brunswick junior men's title, skipping a rink of Darrell Rice, Sean Hughson and Shane Longley. The team represented New Brunswick at the 1990 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, with Jones playing second on the team. There, the rink would finish with a 3–8 record, in 11th place. Men's Jones won his first provincial men's title in 2007, throwing third rocks for the Paul Dobson rink. At the 2007 Tim Hortons Brier, the rink would finish last, with a 1–10 record. In 2008, Jones won the New Brunswick mixed title as a skip with teammates Sandy Comeau, Pierre Fraser and Stephanie Taylor. Sandy Comeau
Sandy Comeau (born October 5, 1964) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. She is a three-time New Brunswick Scotties champion. Career Comeau made her first Scotties appearance in 1993 playing second for Nancy McConnery at the 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts. The team included Leanne Perron and Denise Cormier as well. They finished with a 2–9 record, only beating Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec. Comeau would not return to the national championship until 2005 where she skipped her own team. New Brunswick would qualify for the tiebreaker and would upset Team Canada's Colleen Jones before losing to Ontario's Jenn Hanna in the second round. 2016 Tim Hortons Brier
The 2016 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 5–13, 2016 at TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Ontario. It is the fourth time the Brier has been held in Ottawa, and the fifth time the Brier has been held in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. It is the first time the Brier has been held in Ottawa since the 2001 Nokia Brier. Alberta won the Brier 9–5 in the final against Newfoundland and Labrador, giving skip Kevin Koe his third Brier title. With the win, the Koe rink represented Canada at the 2016 World Men's Curling Championship held from April 2–10, 2016 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. Mike Kennedy (curler)
Michael C. Kennedy (born August 6, 1962) is a Canadian curler from Edmundston, New Brunswick. Curling career Kennedy is a former Canadian and World Senior Curling Champion. He won both the 2013 Canadian Senior Curling Championships and 2014 World Senior Curling Championships playing third for the Wayne Tallon rink. Kennedy has also won two provincial seniors titles, winning with Tallon in 2013 and playing third for Mark Armstrong in 2014. As a junior curler, Kennedy won a provincial championship playing third for the Ron Healey rink in 1980. Kennedy has been one of the perennial top skips in New Brunswick since the 1990s. Kennedy won his first provincial men's championship in 1992, earning the right to represent New Brunswick at the 1992 Labatt Brier. Jamie Brannen
Jamie Robert Alexander Brannen (September 2, 1975 – September 23, 2022) was a Canadian curler and a six-time New Brunswick Tankard champion. Early life Brannen was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, the son of Robert Brannen and Cindy Clark Murray. He grew up in Chipman, New Brunswick and graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Computer Science. Curling career Brannen won the 2007 New Brunswick Mixed Championship with teammates Heather Munn, Nick Munn and wife Lesley Hicks. The team represented New Brunswick at the 2008 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, where he skipped the team to a 4–7 record. Brannen won his first New Brunswick Tankard in 2016 as lead for Mike Kennedy with teammates Scott Jones and Marc LeCocq where they went a perfect 8–0. Kendra Lister
Kendra Lister (born October 4, 1987 as Kendra Dickison) is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She currently plays second on Team Melissa Adams. Career Women's Lister joined the Quillian (Robichaud at the time) rink after the 2016–17 season. Her team consisted of skip Robichaud, third Melissa Adams who also just joined the team and second Nicole Arsenault Bishop. The team had early success winning the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic World Curling Tour event. Their successes continued into January when they won the 2018 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, earning the right to represent New Brunswick at the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. It was Lister's first provincial women's title. The Quillian rink would have a very successful tournament, finishing the new pool play format with a 4–3 record. Chris Jeffrey
Christopher Jeffrey (born November 19, 1988) is a Canadian curler from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He currently plays the alternate on Team Scott Jones. Career Men's In his junior career, Jeffrey played in the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, finishing with a 4–8 record. Jeffrey made the provincial final in 2013 playing third for Zach Eldridge. They lost to James Grattan by one point. He won his first Tankard title in 2015 at the 2015 Pepsi Tankard as second for Jeremy Mallais and they went on to have a 2–9 record at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary. He joined the Grattan rink for the 2017–18 season and the move paid off for him as the team won the 2018 Papa John's Pizza Tankard. At the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier, they finished with a 3–5 record. Cathlia Ward
Cathlia Mary Ward (born May 14, 1994) is a Canadian curler. She currently plays lead on Team Amélie Blais. Career Juniors Ward's first national level event was at the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships as third for Jessica Daigle. There, her team went 4–6 threw the round robin and championship pool, missing the playoffs. She returned the following year with the same team as in 2013 and they once again went 4–6. She was the alternate for Corryn Brown at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships where the team went 3–6. Women's Out of juniors, Ward joined the Melissa Adams rink at second. They competed in local World Curling Tour events with their best finish at the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic where they won the title. Terry Odishaw
Terrance "Terry" Odishaw (born June 17, 1966) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. He is a four-time provincial men's champion and former Canadian mixed champion. Career Odishaw has won the New Brunswick men's curling championship on four occasions. His first title came in 1991, playing third for Gary Mitchell. At the 1991 Labatt Brier, the rink went 4-7, out of the playoffs. Odishaw won his second provincial title in 1998, this time as a skip. At the 1998 Labatt Brier, his rink went 4-7 once again, missing playoffs. In 2007, Odishaw skipped New Brunswick to a Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, when he defeated Quebec's Ève Bélisle in the final, 6-4. Except for being an alternate in 2000 and in 2002, Odishaw would not return to the Brier until 2012, when he won that year's New Brunswick Tankard. 2012 Tim Hortons Brier
The 2012 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, was held from March 3 to March 11 at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This Brier marked the sixth time that Saskatoon hosted the Brier; the last time that the Brier was hosted in Saskatoon was in 2004. The winner of the Brier, Glenn Howard, will represent Canada at the 2012 Capital One World Men's Curling Championship in Basel, Switzerland. In the final, Ontario's Glenn Howard defeated Kevin Koe in ten ends with a score of 7–6. Howard won his fourth Brier title overall and his second Brier title as skip. Ontario third Wayne Middaugh became the first person in Brier history to win at three different positions, as second in 1993, as skip in 1998, and as third in 2012.
