Jamie Brannen
Jamie Robert Alexander Brannen (September 2, 1975 – September 23, 2022) was a Canadian curler and a six-time New Brunswick Tankard champion. Early life Brannen was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, the son of Robert Brannen and Cindy Clark Murray. He grew up in Chipman, New Brunswick and graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Computer Science. Curling career Brannen won the 2007 New Brunswick Mixed Championship with teammates Heather Munn, Nick Munn and wife Lesley Hicks. The team represented New Brunswick at the 2008 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, where he skipped the team to a 4–7 record. Brannen won his first New Brunswick Tankard in 2016 as lead for Mike Kennedy with teammates Scott Jones and Marc LeCocq where they went a perfect 8–0. Windsor, Nova Scotia
Windsor is a community located in Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is a service centre for the western part of the county and is situated on Highway 101. 2017 Tim Hortons Brier
The 2017 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 4–12, 2017 at the Mile One Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. This marked the second time the Brier was hosted by St. John's, the first being the 1972 Macdonald Brier. Newfoundland and Labrador won the Brier 7–6 in the final against Team Canada, giving skip Brad Gushue his first Brier title. With the win, the Gushue rink earned the right to represent Canada at the 2017 Ford World Men's Curling Championship held from April 1–9, 2017 at Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton, Alberta. 2020 Tim Hortons Brier
The 2020 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from February 29 to March 8 at the Leon's Centre in Kingston, Ontario. The winning Brad Gushue rink was scheduled to represent Canada at the 2020 World Men's Curling Championship at the Commonwealth Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. 2019 Tour Challenge
The 2019 KIOTI TRACTOR Tour Challenge was held from November 5 to 10, at the Pictou County Wellness Centre in Westville Road, Nova Scotia. It was the second Grand Slam event of the 2019–20 season. In the men's tier 1 final, Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario defeated Brad Gushue of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador to win his 5th Grand Slam. In the tier 2 final, Korey Dropkin defeated Tanner Horgan to earn a spot at the 2020 Canadian Open in January. In the women's tier 1 final, Anna Hasselborg of Sundbyberg, Sweden defeated Kerri Einarson of Gimli, Manitoba to win her 3rd Grand Slam. Jim Sullivan Curling Classic
The Jim Sullivan Curling Classic is an annual curling tournament or bonspiel. It used to be held at the Thistle-St. Andrew's Curling Club in Saint John, New Brunswick, but is now held at the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton. The total purse for the men's event is CAD $15,300 with the winning team receiving $5,000. The purse for the women's event is $8,250 with the winner's share being $2,000. The event is named in honour of Jim Sullivan, a curler in New Brunswick who committed suicide from depression in 2011. The event is a re-incarnation of previous bonspiels played at the Thistle-St. Andrew's Club such as the Fundy Line Cash Spiel, the Fundy Cash and the TSA Fundy Curling Classic (the latter being brought back by Sullivan in 2005). 2019 Tim Hortons Brier
The 2019 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 2 to 10 at Westoba Place in Brandon, Manitoba. In the final, Kevin Koe of Alberta defeated Team Wildcard skipped by Brendan Bottcher 4–3 by scoring two in the tenth end to win. It was the lowest scoring Brier final since 1992, which was held before the adoption of any free guard zone rule. The Koe rink represented Canada at the 2019 World Men's Curling Championship held from March 30 to April 7 at the ENMAX Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta. This marked the third time the Brier has been held in Brandon, the first time since 1982. Terry Odishaw
Terrance "Terry" Odishaw (born June 17, 1966) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. He is a four-time provincial men's champion and former Canadian mixed champion. Career Odishaw has won the New Brunswick men's curling championship on four occasions. His first title came in 1991, playing third for Gary Mitchell. At the 1991 Labatt Brier, the rink went 4-7, out of the playoffs. Odishaw won his second provincial title in 1998, this time as a skip. At the 1998 Labatt Brier, his rink went 4-7 once again, missing playoffs. In 2007, Odishaw skipped New Brunswick to a Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, when he defeated Quebec's Ève Bélisle in the final, 6-4. Except for being an alternate in 2000 and in 2002, Odishaw would not return to the Brier until 2012, when he won that year's New Brunswick Tankard. James Grattan (curler)
James Grattan, nicknamed "Jimmy the Kid" (born July 28, 1974 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Oromocto, New Brunswick. He currently skips his own team. Career Grattan's best personal result as a skip at the Brier is third place (). In 2002–2004 he played third for Russ Howard. He skipped again in (5–6 in Regina), after defeating Dan Sherrard in the New Brunswick Tankard final, and (2–9 Winnipeg), after defeating Jeremy Mallais in the provincial final. He played third for Howard again in (6–5 Calgary). He moved back to skip the following season and the team won the provincial championship.
