Scott Boland
Scott Michael Boland (born 11 April 1989) is an Australian international cricketer. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, he also plays domestically for Victoria and the Hobart Hurricanes. In March 2019, he was named the Sheffield Shield Player of the Year by Cricket Australia. Boland is one of a handful of Indigenous Australians to be selected to play for Australia at international level and, as of December 2021, is only the second male Aboriginal player to have played Test cricket for Australia, after Jason Gillespie. Early career Boland was born in Mordialloc, Melbourne, Victoria, and attended St Bede's College, Mentone. Starting his career with Parkdale Cricket Club, Boland first played a competitive game for the club aged six, in the under-12's competition. The England cricket team represents England and Wales in international cricket. Since 1997, it has been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by Marylebone Cricket Club (the MCC) since 1903. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Western Australia Cricket Team
The Western Australian Men’s cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. The team is selected and supported by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), and plays its home games at the WACA Ground and Perth Stadium in Perth. Nick Jewell
Nicholas Jewell (born 27 August 1977) is a former Australian rules footballer and a professional cricketer who played for Victoria. Jewell was educated at Caulfield Grammar School in Melbourne and played for Under-18s football for Prahran; in Year 12 at Caulfield, he set a then Associated Public Schools of Victoria record for the most runs in a season (later eclipsed in season 2005–06 by Melbourne Grammar School cricket captain Bryan Vance), and captained the school's First XI team. The Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club is a cricket club in Victorian Premier Cricket, the elite club competition of Melbourne, Australia. The club played sub-district cricket from 1974-75 to 1992-93 and played its first season of premier cricket in 1993-94. Its home ground is the Adrian Butler Oval in Frankston. Victorian Premier Cricket is a club cricket competition in the state of Victoria administered by Cricket Victoria. Each club fields four teams (firsts through to fourths) of adult players and usually play on weekends and public holidays. Parkdale is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 23 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Kingston local government area. Jason Neil Gillespie (born 19 April 1975) is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer who played all three formats of the game. A right-arm fast bowler, he was also a competent lower-order batsman whose unbeaten 201 in his last Test match is the highest score by a night-watchman in international cricket. Gillespie made his One Day International debut against Sri Lanka at Colombo in the Singer World Series in August 1996, and his Test debut against the West Indies at Sydney in November 1996. He also played for South Australia, Yorkshire and Glamorgan at first-class level, and was an AIS Australian Cricket Academy scholarship holder in 1995. Gillespie announced his retirement from first-class cricket in Australia in February 2008. He then played in the unauthorised Indian Cricket League for the Ahmedabad Rockets.
