Armon Collins, better known by his stage name Scarub, is an American rapper and record producer from Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the collective Living Legends. He has also been a member of Log Cabin, 3 Melancholy Gypsys, and Afro Classics. Biography Scarub was born Armon Collins. He grew up in Los Angeles, California. He attended Alexander Hamilton High School. Scarub's first solo studio album, ''The Answer 2wo the Meaning'', was released in 1997. He released ''A Fact of the Matter'' in 1999, ''Heavenbound'' in 2000, ''A New Perspective'' in 2004, and ''One for the Road: Volume One'' in 2006. In 2011, he released ''The California EP''. ''There Is Only Now'' is the sixth studio album by American hip hop group Souls of Mischief. The album was released on August 26, 2014, by Linear Labs. Living Legends (group)
Living Legends is an American hip hop supergroup consisting of indie hip hop artists from California. Beginning in the mid 1990s, the crew garnered a following by recording, promoting and performing their music independently through Legendary Music. The crew is considered by ''LA Weekly'' to be "one of the biggest success stories of the indie-rap movement, having sold close to 300,000 units of their various solo and group efforts — all by them-damn-selves." History Living Legends originally grew out of Mystik Journeymen, consisted of BFAP (now known as Sunspot Jonz) and PSC (now known as Luckyiam). Nicholas Neil Carter (born March 16, 1978), better known by his stage name Murs, is an American rapping, rapper. Corey Scoffern (born May 20, 1975), better known by his stage name The Grouch, is an American rapper and producer. He is currently based in Maui, Hawaii, but grew up and spent most of his time in the San Francisco Bay Area (specifically Oakland, California). He is a founding member of Living Legends, an underground hip hop collective based in Los Angeles, California. 3 Melancholy Gypsys is an American hip hop group from Los Angeles, California. It consists of Eligh, Murs, and Scarub. History Eligh, Murs, and Scarub went to Alexander Hamilton High School. After forming 3 Melancholy Gypsys, they were incorporated into the crews Log Cabin and The Righteous Brothers. Until Log Cabin disbanded, the trio worked on music as 3 Melancholy Gypsys and Log Cabin for a while. Eligh
Eli Nathan Nachowitz (born February 28, 1978), better known as Eligh, is an American rapper and producer from Los Angeles. He is a member of the underground hip hop group Living Legends. Biography Eligh's inspiration for making hip hop music came in the mid 1980s from the film ''Beat Street'' and LL Cool J's "I'm Bad." In high school, he co-founded the hip hop duo Boogalu Badboys with Scarub. When they crossed paths with another rapper Murs, the three formed 3 Melancholy Gypsys (3MG). Eligh then moved from Los Angeles up north to the Bay Area, where he met The Grouch, which ultimately led to 3MG's incorporation into Living Legends. Tommy Woolfolk, better known by his stage name Luckyiam, is a rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is a founding member of Living Legends. He is also a member of CMA and Mystik Journeymen.
