The Grouch (rapper)
Corey Scoffern (born May 20, 1975), better known by his stage name The Grouch, is an American rapper and producer. He is currently based in Maui, Hawaii, but grew up and spent most of his time in the San Francisco Bay Area (specifically Oakland, California). He is a founding member of Living Legends, an underground hip hop collective based in Los Angeles, California. Life and career The Grouch was born & raised in Oakland, California, where he attended Skyline High School. He produced the entirety of Felt's debut album, '' Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci'', in 2002. He collaborated with Eligh, Evidence and Zion I on the song "Amp Live for President" in 2011. Marqus Brown, known as DJ.Fresh, is an American hip hop DJ based in Oakland and Los Angeles, California. Acclaim for his work includes being named to ''XXL'' magazine's 30 Best Hip-Hop Producers of 2016. Okayplayer
Okayplayer is an online hip-hop and alternative music website and community, described by ''Rolling Stone'' as a "tastemaker" and "an antidote to dull promotional Web sites used by most artists". The community was founded by The Roots' drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and author Angela Nissel as a loose musical collective in 1987, and evolved into an online community in 1999. In 2004, Questlove launched Okayplayer Records as a spin-off of the community, in partnership with Decon. Eligh
Eli Nathan Nachowitz (born February 28, 1978), better known as Eligh, is an American rapper and producer from Los Angeles. He is a member of the underground hip hop group Living Legends. Biography Eligh's inspiration for making hip hop music came in the mid 1980s from the film ''Beat Street'' and LL Cool J's "I'm Bad." In high school, he co-founded the hip hop duo Boogalu Badboys with Scarub. When they crossed paths with another rapper Murs, the three formed 3 Melancholy Gypsys (3MG). Eligh then moved from Los Angeles up north to the Bay Area, where he met The Grouch, which ultimately led to 3MG's incorporation into Living Legends. The ''Minnesota Daily'' is the campus newspaper of the University of Minnesota, published Monday and Thursday while school is in session, and published weekly on Wednesdays during summer sessions.
