Toki Wright (born March 27, 1980) is an American rapper and educator from Minneapolis. His debut solo studio album, ''A Different Mirror'', was released on Rhymesayers Entertainment in 2009. Early life and education Toki Wright was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States on March 27, 1980. He attended Patrick Henry High School. He later graduated from the University of Minnesota. Career Musician Toki Wright met Adonis D. Frazier in 1998, and they formed The C.O.R.E. (Children of Righteous Elevation). The duo's debut album, ''Metropolis'', was released in 2003. As well as being a member of The Chosen Few, Toki Wright has released a number of solo recordings, including ''A Different Mirror'' (2009), ''Black Male'' (2010), and ''Faders'' (2012). Ronald Toshiyuki Takaki (April 12, 1939 – May 26, 2009) was an American academic, historian, ethnographer and author. Born in pre-statehood Hawaii, Takaki studied at the College of Wooster and completed his doctorate in American history at the University of California, Berkeley. Greenhouse is an American hip hop group from Columbus, Ohio. Originally formed as Greenhouse Effect by Blueprint, Inkwel, and Manifest, it now consists of Blueprint and Illogic. Andrew Sims (born October 19, 1982), better known mononymously as Sims, is an American rapper from Minneapolis. He has been a member of Doomtree and Shredders. Early life Sims was born Andrew Sims on October 19, 1982 in Minnesota. He grew up in Hopkins, a suburb of Minneapolis. His parents were former musicians. He first began creating music at an early age when his father bought him a Casio SK-1 keyboard. At a young age, he began writing lyrics, not necessarily rap. ''Ipecac Neat'' is the first studio album by American rapper P.O.S. It was released on Doomtree Records in 2004. It was re-released on Rhymesayers Entertainment in 2005. Production P.O.S began his hip hop career as half of a rap duo called Cenospecies. After the duo broke up, they were still booked to play at several more shows. Because P.O.S was contractually obligated to perform at these shows, he had to write songs that he could perform solo. He told ''City Pages'' in 2014 that ''Ipecac Neat'' consisted of "pretty much every solo song" that he had written up to that point. Half of the album was recorded in P.O.S's own basement and the other half in a neighbor's living room, as opposed to a recording studio.
