Sayyed Mohammad Eqbal Munib
Mohammad Eqbal Munib ( prs, محمد اقبال منیب) was a Hazara politician and the former governor of Ghor. Before that he had been governor of Sar-e Pol. As governor of Sar-e Pol Mohammad Eqbal Munib survived two attempts on his life. One was on 24 April 2007, a "mine planted near a brook" which was remotely detonated by unidentified people as Munib's car was passing by. The blast damaged the vehicle but did not cause any casualties. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. In May 2010 the provincial council of Ghor Province and some civil society organizations wrote a letter to President Hamid Karzai wherein they criticized the performance of Mohammad Eqbal Munib and asked for the dismissal of the governor. Following this, Governor Munib was dismissed by the president due to lack of professionalism. Baz Mohammad Ahmadi
Baz Mohammad Ahmadi (Ahmady) is the Deputy Minister of Interior for Counter-Narcotics and the former Governor of Badakhshan, in Afghanistan. He used to be Governor of Ghor Province. Ahmadi is an ethnic Tajik and was a mid-level commander in the Jamiat Islami military alliance under Ahmed Shah Massoud that fought in the civil wars that dominated Afghanistan after the withdrawal of Soviet occupation forces in the early 1990s. Aybak, Samangan
Aybak (Aibak or Haibak; previously Eukratidia ( grc, Εὐκρατιδία); historically known as Samangan) is a provincial town, medieval caravan stop, and the headquarters of the Samangan Province in the district of the same name in the northern part of Afghanistan. As an ancient town and major Buddhist centre during the 4th and 5th centuries under the then Kushan rulers, it has the ruins of that period at a place known now as Takht-i-rustam, which is located on a hill above the town. Due to its location, Haibak has been influenced by Buddhist, Islamic and Turkic and Persian peoples. In the past, it was significant because of its position on the main line of communication between Kabul and Afghan Turkestan. Samangan (Dari: ; Pashto: ) is one of the thirty-four provinces of Afghanistan, located north of the Hindu Kush mountains in the central part of the country. Abdul Haq Shafaq
Abdul Haq Shafaq ( prs, عبدالحق شفق) is an ethnic Hazara politician in Afghanistan. He is the former governor of Faryab, Daykundi, Samangan and Sar-e Pol provinces. Abdul Haq Shafaq is former commander of the Hezbe Wahdat. After the fall of the Taliban he was appointed governor of Sar-e Pol Province. In 2004, Abdul Haq Shafaq switched to the province of Samangan. He was appointed governor of Takhar in 2019, left that position, and became governor of Sare Pul Province again on 20 June 2021.
