The discography of Gojira (band), Gojira, a French Heavy metal music, heavy metal band, consists of seven studio albums, three live albums, one film score album (live), four demo albums, one extended plays, ten single (music), singles, seventeen music videos, and three video albums. Gojira was formed in 1996 under the name Godzilla by guitarist Joe Duplantier, his brother, drummer Mario Duplantier, guitarist Christian Andreu, and bassist Alexandre Cornillon. Jean-Michel Labadie replaced Cornillon in 1998. Godzilla released a series of demo (music), demos from 1996 to 2000. The band changed their name to Gojira due to legal reasons in 2001, and released their first full-length album, ''Terra Incognita (Gojira album), Terra Incognita'', in March 2001 through Gabriel Editions (themselves). Gojira is a French heavy metal band from Ondres. Founded as Godzilla in 1996, the band's lineup—brothers Joe (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu (lead guitar), and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass)—has been the same since the band changed its name to Gojira in 2001. ''L'Enfant Sauvage'' (French for "The Wild Child") is the fifth studio album by French heavy metal band Gojira. It was released 26 June 2012 via Roadrunner Records. Background Gojira was going to tour with Lamb of God and Dethklok, but because of Randy Blythe's arrest in the Czech Republic, the tour was cancelled. Gojira subsequently announced a headline tour of their own, which began in January 2013 with support from The Devin Townsend Project and The Atlas Moth. ''The Way of All Flesh'' is the fourth studio album by French heavy metal band Gojira. The album was released on 13 October 2008 in Europe via Listenable Records and on 14 October in the US through Prosthetic Records. It sold around 4,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at number 138 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. It also reached no. 1 on the Top Heatseekers chart and no. 21 on the Top Independent Albums chart. The album was recorded at the band's home studio while Joe Duplantier produced it. ''The Link Alive'' is the first live album by French heavy metal band Gojira. The show was filmed in Bordeaux in 2003. The material is mostly older songs from '' The Link'' and ''Terra Incognita'', as well as earlier demos. The extra features include several behind-the-scenes documentary, music videos, history, a photo gallery and some short clips, the DVD also contains some hidden 'Easter Eggs'. ''The Link Alive'' was also released as a live album CD on 30 October 2004. It features identical track listings and credits to the DVD. The album was limited to only 500 copies.
