Bruce Sarver (January 11, 1962 – November 10, 2005) was an NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car driver from 1996 to 2002. Born in Bakersfield, California, he began racing Top Fuel in the Car Quest Auto Parts dragster. In his rookie season, he qualified for 18 out of 19 events. The next season, he made it to his first final in Englishtown. He switched to the Funny Car class in 2000 to join Foxen Canyon with Alan Johnson (the tuner) and Gary Scelzi Gary Scelzi (born August 11, 1960) is an American dragster racer and midget car owner who has won the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Top Fuel championship on three occasions and the Funny Car title once. Michael Sarver (born March 28, 1981) is an American singer who was the tenth place finalist on the eighth season of ''American Idol''. Early life Sarver was born in Sulphur, Louisiana, and graduated from Sulphur High School. He has two children, McKenna and Grayson. He has written over 1100 songs for himself and others since the age of 14, and has also been singing since he was an adolescent. Robert Gary Sarver (born October 31, 1961) is an American businessman, co-founder of Southwest Value Partners, a real estate development company, and the former owner of the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and RCD Mallorca. Early life and education Sarver was born in Tucson to Irene and Jack Sarver. Sarver is Jewish. His father was a prominent Tucson businessman, banker, and hotel developer (the elder Sarver built the Aztec Inn, the Plaza International Hotel (now an Aloft Hotel) at Speedway and Campbell in Tucson in the early 1970s, built and operated the Tucson area Howard Johnson's locations, and headed American Savings & Loan Ass'n. as its CEO. Sarver is an unincorporated community in Buffalo Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. It is located in the south-eastern part of the county. Sarver is generally known as most of the area near and west/southwest of State Route 356 (Butler Road/South Pike Road/North Pike Road) in the township. Until around the late 1990s- early 2000s, Sarver was home to only a few residents. Its economy was very small and was based solely on a grocery store, a few small restaurants, along with a few gas stations and car dealerships.
