Sarmanyo
Sarmaanyo is a town in the Sool region of Somalia/. (Sometimes considered in the Sanaag region. Recent history In March 2003, Puntland deployed troops to Sarmaanyo, Hingalol, and Fiqifuliye and other areas along the border. According to the December 2003 survey, diseases such as diarrhoea, anaemia, Acute respiratory infection, ARI and malaria increased, especially in Dhahar, Shimbiraale, Sarmanyo, and Baraakta Qol. Sarmaanyo and other Khaatumo villages have seen an increase in remittances from the diaspora, up 36% in 2009 and 14% between 2009 and 2010. In October 2011, SomaliaReport reported that Sarmaanyo in Puntland is one of the most drought-stricken areas in the Sool region. On January 12, 2012, the Khatumo State was declared. Two days after this declaration, fighting broke out between Somaliland forces and Dhulbahante militias near Buuhoodle. Somalia is officially divided into 18 administrative regions (''gobollo'', singular ''gobol'') . Khatumo State
Khatumo State ( so, Khaatumo; ar, ولاية خاتمة, translit=wilāyat khātimah), officially the Khatumo State of Somalia ( so, Dowlad Goboleedka Khaatumo ee Soomaaliya), was a successor to the SSC Movement. Centred on the Sool, Sanaag regions and the Buuhoodle district of Togdheer region, its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 2012. By 2015 the state ceased to function and on 20 October 2017 in Aynaba, an agreement was signed between Khatumo President and the Somaliland government which stipulated the amendment of Somaliland's constitution and to re-integrate the territory into Somaliland. Haysimo (Somali: Xaysimo, Arabic: حايسمو) is a region of Somalia that has existed since 2014. The constituent districts are Taleh, Sarmaanyo, Halin, Somaliland, Halin, Carroolay, and Godaalo. Godaalo(God Alo) is a town in the eastern Sool region of Sool/Somaliland. On 13 December 2015, this town was part of conflict between the DNO ASA oil company and the local residents. Halin, Somaliland
Halin ( so, Xalin) is a town in the Sool region of Somalia. It was the headquarters of the Dervish movement during 1903–1904. Government Traditional councils of elders and village assemblies are responsible for administration, and village chiefs are also nominated by councils of elders and assemblies. No elections are held. The legal system is customary law based on Sharia. Inhabitants The Dhulbahante clan of Somalis is the main population. Estimated total population is 500-600, with 130 households, or about 1,300 people and 210 households if the suburbs are included. Taleh
Taleh ( so, Taleex, ar, تليح) is a historical town in the eastern Sool, Somalia, Sool region of Somaliland. As of September 2015, both Puntland and Somaliland had nominal influence or control in Taleh and it's vicinity. The town served as the capital of the pre-independence Dervish movement (Somali), Dervish movement.Laurence, p.47. The Dalyare fort and the Taleh complex built between 1909 and 1910 are among the least disfigured Dervish era structures that remain in Sool province, whom altogether comprise 27 Dervish era structures. Garad Saleban Garad Mohamed (Somali: Garaad Saleebaan Garaad Maxamed) is a Somali clan leader. He is the supreme Garad of the Mohamoud Garad and the second most senior traditional leader of the Dhulbahante clan. Overview Garad Salebaan is a prominent and influential traditional leader. The Dhulbahante ( so, Dhulbahante, ar, دلبةنتئ) is a Somali clan family, part of the Harti clan which itself belongs to the largest Somali clan-family — the Darod.
