Santamaria (band)
Santamaria is a Portuguese Eurodance project. Santamaria have sold more than 1,000,000 albums in Portugal during a career spanning roughly a decade. History Early years Formed in Santa Maria de Lamas (hence the name Santamaria) a Portuguese civil parish located in the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, in the district of Aveiro, Portugal, in 1997, Santamaria are the brainchild of producers Luís Marante and Tony Lemos and lead singer Filipa, Lemos' sister. At the time, Lemos was already an experienced studio man, having first emerged on the music scene in a duo with Filipa called Tó & Marlene, playing in county fairs during the summer seasons. Later, Filipa joined the short-lived act Taitibitileus, which managed to score a minor novelty hit with the song "O Meu Abião." Euro-Dance (sometimes referred to as Euro-NRG, Euro-electronica or Euro) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the late 1980s in Europe. Vidisco is an Israeli based developer and manufacturer of portable digital X-ray inspection systems. The company was founded in 1988 by Shlomo Shapira, to develop a digital portable solution to X-ray inspection of unexploded ordnance, the company has since developed a range of digital X-ray inspection solutions for both the security and industrial testing markets. Vidisco was one of the first companies to integrate amorphous silicon flat panels into portable X-ray systems. Whigfield
Whigfield is an Italian dance act fronted by Danish singer, songwriter and record producer Sannie Charlotte Carlson (born 11 April 1970), known by her various stage names including Whigfield, Naan, or simply Sannie. She is best known for her 1993 single " Saturday Night", which became an international hit the following year. Based in Italy at the time, Carlson worked with Italian producer Larry Pignagnoli and " Saturday Night" entered the top five in Italy. Her single " Another Day" also managed to peak at number three in Italy as well. Corona (group)
Corona is an Italian Eurodance project. Initially as a band originally formed by the Brazilian-born singer and model Olga Maria de Souza and the producer Francesco "Checco" Bontempi (a.k.a. Lee Marrow), it found commercial success with the worldwide hits "The Rhythm of the Night" (1993) and " Baby Baby" (1995). After the second album, Bontempi left the band and was replaced by Francesco Conte and Paolo Dughero. Vengaboys
Vengaboys () are a Dutch Eurodance music group based in Rotterdam. The group was the creation of Dutch producers Wessel van Diepen and Dennis van den Driesschen (known as Danski and Delmundo). It consists of lead vocalist Kim Sasabone, female vocalist Denise Post-Van Rijswijk and male vocalists Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa. Casting and selection of the act was done by van Diepen. The group enjoyed commercial success in the late 1990s.
