Santa Lucia (Siniscola)
Santa Lucia is part of the municipality of Siniscola ( NU) in Sardinia (Italy). It is a seaside village with two beaches and surrounded by a pine forest planted in the 30s. There is a tower that was probably built in the XVII century. The village was populated by fishermen from the island of Ponza. A regulatory plan involves the destruction of about 6 hectares of the pine forest for the construction of hotels and various services. There is currently a strong movement against the regulatory plan, with also judicial initiatives. The village and the beaches in 1971 were the main locations of the film '' Le lys de mer'', starring actress Carole André. Nuoro
Nuoro ( or less correctly ; sc, Nùgoro ) is a city and ''comune'' (municipality) in central-eastern Sardinia, Italy, situated on the slopes of the Monte Ortobene. Ponza
Ponza (Italian: ''isola di Ponza'' ) is the largest island of the Italian Pontine Islands archipelago, located south of Cape Circeo in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is also the name of the commune of the island, a part of the province of Latina in the Lazio region. History The island was inhabited from neolithic through Roman times. According to local legends, Ponza was named after Pontius Pilate, Roman governor of Judea who tried Jesus of Nazareth for sedition against Roman rule. Pontius Pilate's family owned a grotto on Ponza, which is still named after him. The Pontius Pilate legend of Ponza's name has recently come into dispute amongst historians, because the name "Pontia" appears in Strabo's ''Geography''. This pre-dates the birth of Pilate. Carole André
Carole André-Smith (born 11 March 1953) is a French-Italian former actress. Her best known role was Kabir Bedi's love interest Lady Marianna, nicknamed "", in the successful RAI series ''Sandokan'' (1976). Since retiring from acting, she has been the International Marketing Director at Cinecittà Studios, as well as an architect and interior designer. Junipers are coniferous trees and shrubs in the genus ''Juniperus'' () of the cypress family Cupressaceae.
