Sanni Ahola
Sanni Ahola (born 3 June 2000) is a Finnish ice hockey goaltender and member of the Finnish national team, currently playing in the NCAA Division I with the St. Cloud State Huskies women's ice hockey program. Playing career Ahola developed on the minor ice hockey teams of , a youth ice hockey club in the Malmi neighborhood of Helsinki. She played as a defenseman and in goal throughout her childhood but committed to the pursuit of goaltending by age thirteen. During her early teens, she served as goaltender with several boys' teams of (IHK) and was the starting net minder for the IHK boys' under-16 (U16) team during the 2014–15 season. In the following season, she split starts for IHK U17 in the U17 Mestis. In addition to backstopping IHK teams, she continued to play as both a skater and goaltender with Red Wing girls' teams. Karoliina Stina Margaretha "Karo" Rantamäki (born 23 February 1978) is a Finnish ice hockey forward and captain of Stadin Gimmat (HIFK Naiset) of the Naisten Liiga (NSML), the premier women's ice hockey league in Finland. She holds the all-time career record for games played with the Finnish women's national ice hockey team, having played in 256 top level international matches. She represented Finland at five Olympic Games and won bronze medals in the women's ice hockey tournaments in 1998 and 2010. Minnesota Golden Gophers Women's Ice Hockey
The Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey team plays for the University of Minnesota at the Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis. The team is one of the members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) and competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in Division I. The Golden Gophers have won six NCAA Championships as well as the final American Women's College Hockey Alliance Championship. The Bemidji State Beavers are a women's college hockey team representing Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota, United States. They play at the NCAA Division I level, and compete in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). History The Bemidji State University intercollegiate women's ice hockey program began competition in the 1998–1999 season. The first head coach was Ruthann Cantile. Mira Jalosuo (born 3 February 1989) is a Finnish ice hockey player, currently serving as an assistant coach for the Minnesota section of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) and as head coach of the girls' ice hockey team at Stillwater Area High School in Oak Park Heights, Minnesota.
