Sanne Salomonsen
Sanne Salomonsen (born 30 December 1955), is a Danish singer. She has been performing since 1973, and various songs by her band Sneakers were on the charts continuously from 1979 to 1985. She was also a member of the Anne Linnet Band. Salomonsen is the daughter of ornithologist Finn Salomonsen. Anne Linnet Band
Anne Linnet Band was a Danish pop rock band with the singers Anne Linnet, Sanne Salomonsen and Lis Sørensen. Anne Linnet Band was formed in 1979, and recorded the all-time ballad "Det er ikke det du siger" with Sanne Salomonsen on vocals. Anne Linnet, Sanne Salomonsen and Lis Sørensen all had a successful solo career in the 1980s after Anne Linnet Band dissolved. Career Anne Linnet Band began its debut tour on March 27, 1980, at Skråen in Aalborg. The tour was a great success and there were many subsequent concerts. In 1981, their first album ''Anne Linnet Band'' was released, followed by the final album ''Cha cha cha'' in 1982. Anne Linnet's then husband Holger Laumann played saxophone on both albums. Anne Linnet had stated in the 2018 documentary film ''Anne, Sanne & Lis'' that a reunion of Anne Linnet Band would "not be in this life". Dexter Gordon
Dexter Gordon (February 27, 1923 – April 25, 1990) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and actor. He was among the most influential early bebop musicians, which included other greats such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Bud Powell. Gordon's height was , so he was also known as "Long Tall Dexter" and "Sophisticated Giant". His studio and performance career spanned more than 40 years. Gordon's sound was commonly characterized as being "large" and spacious and he had a tendency to play behind the beat. He was known for inserting musical quotes into his solos, with sources as diverse as " Happy Birthday" and well known melodies from the operas of Wagner. This is not unusual in jazz improvization, but Gordon did it frequently enough to make it a hallmark of his style. One of his major influences was Lester Young. Finn Salomonsen
Finn Salomonsen (31 January 1909 – 23 April 1983) was a Danish ornithologist. He is best known for his work on the birds of Greenland. His interest in Greenland began at the age of 16 when he made a trip with Lehn Schioler to the Upernavik District. He obtained a degree in zoology in 1932 and joined as a zoological assistant in the Danish Nature Reserves. He worked on migration of birds and moulting patterns extensively. During World War II he fled to Sweden with his family to escape persecution due to his Jewish ancestry. Salomonsen's work included over scientific publications, and authorship or co-authorship of 19 books. Apart from research in the Greenland and Arctic region, he went on expeditions to the Philippines (1951–1952) and to the Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea (Noona Dan expedition, 1962).
