Sanne Cant
Sanne Cant (born 8 October 1990) is a Belgian Cycle sport, racing cyclist, who currently competes in cyclo-cross for UCI Cyclo-cross Team IKO–Crelan, and in road cycling for UCI Women's Team, UCI Women's Continental Team . Cant's cousin Loes Sels is also a professional cyclist. Cant won the World Championship cyclo cross in the elite category in 2017, 2018, 2019, and won the European Cyclo-cross Championship in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Career Competing at youth level In her youth Cant competed in both athletics and duathlon. In 2002, she started cycling, focusing mainly on cyclocross and mountain biking. In her first year as a cyclist she immediately won the provincial championship at the age of 12. In 2003 and 2004, she repeated this feat. Also in 2004, Cant achieved her first major victory, becoming Belgian champion in the 14-year-old category. 2019 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships
The 2019 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships were the World Championship for cyclo-cross for the season 2018–19. These were held in Bogense in Denmark on 2 and 3 February 2019. Niels Albert
Niels Albert (born 5 February 1986 in Bonheiden, near Antwerp, Belgium) is a former professional cyclo-cross racing cyclist who currently resides in Tremelo. He became World Champion twice, in 2009 and 2012. Career Similarly to Sven Nys, Albert began BMX racing, in which he was two times Belgian National Champion, before switching to cyclo-cross. On 8 October 2006 Albert took his first major senior victory at Grote Prijs Pro Cycling Neerpelt, Belgium. Albert won the first International cyclo-cross of the 2007/08 season with a victory in Erpe-Mere, Belgium. Albert scored another big victory with the Superprestige in Gieten, the Netherlands where riding for the first time in the Elite category of the annual Gieten race, he beat Sven Nys and Lars Boom. The 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships was the World Championship for cyclo-cross for the season 2015–16. It was held in Heusden-Zolder in Belgium on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31 January 2016. The championships featured five events, in addition to the men's and women's elite races there was a U23 men's and junior men's races, and for the first time, a U23 women's race. This event was held on Sunday 29 January 2012 as part of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Koksijde, Belgium. Five laps had to be completed, totalling up to 14.79 kilometre. It was won by Marianne Vos of Netherlands who was first and in control from start to finish.
