Sankeertana
''Sankeertana'' is a 1987 Telugu-language film, produced by M. Gangaiah under the Konark Movie Creations banner and directed by Geetha Krishna. It stars Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna, with music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. It was released on 20 March 1987. The film was dubbed in Tamil as ''En Paadal Unakkaga''. The film was later remade in Tamil as '' Deiva Vaakku''. Plot Keerthana is an orphan who is being brought up by a villager whose wife doesn't like her at all. Keerthana is learning dance from the famous teacher of the village. In this process, she falls in love with Kaasi, who belongs to a very low caste. The villagers believe that Keerthana is the goddess who came to save them and their village and hence Keerthana had lost her personal life. But now she has dared to love Kaasi and now she wanted to marry him. Geetha Krishna
Geetha Krishna is an Indian film director, who has made Telugu and Tamil films. He made his debut with the Telugu film ''Sankeertana'' starring Nagarjuna, for which he won the Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director. Since then, he has directed a series of Telugu and Tamil films. Career Geetha Krishna's debut film ''Sankeertana'' was a musical love story, set against religious taboos featuring Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishnan. Sathyam Babu Dixithulu (born 31 July 1951), known by his stage name Sarath Babu, is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He has worked in more than 200 films. Tanikella Bharani (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, screenwriter, poet, playwright and director who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Anil Malnad
Anil Malnad (12 October 1957 – 19 March 2018) was an Indian editor who worked in over 200 films across Telugu, Tamil and Odia languages. He won the National Film Award for Best Editing for the Telugu film ''Sitaara'' (1984). Biography Malnad was born as G. R. Dattatreya in Malnad, Karnataka, India. He started his film career as an assistant director with the 1971 Telugu film '' Sampoorna Ramayanam'', directed by Bapu. He later became an editor and made his debut as an editor with Bapu's Vamsa Vruksham (1980). Malnad lived with his family in Chromepet, Chennai. He died at the age of 66 on 19 March 2018 at a private hospital in Chennai; he was admitted after he suffered a heart attack.
