Deiva Vaakku
''Deiva Vaakku'' () is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M. S. Madhu, starring Karthik and Revathi. The film, produced by T. Siva, was released on 11 September 1992. It is a remake of the Telugu film ''Sankeertana'' (1987). Plot Amsaveni, after channeling the voice of the Goddess in childhood, is treated as such by her grateful village after water is found after a drought. Her Duplicate elder brother Vallathar exploits his young sister's powers to make himself rich. When Amsaveni falls in love with misunderstood drunk-with-heart-of-gold Thambidurai, Vallathar is unhappy with her decision, due to the difference in status between the two and, more importantly, he can see his money supply running out. So Vallathar tries to put Thambidurai off in various ways from marrying his sister. Karthik (actor)
Murali Karthikeyan Muthuraman (born 13 September 1960), better known by his stage name Karthik, is an Indian actor, playback singer and politician who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor R. Muthuraman. In the 1980s and 90s, Karthik was one of the biggest stars in the industry. He was first introduced by Bharathiraja in the Tamil film ''Alaigal Oivathillai'' (1981) and became a lead actor in Tamil films by his own. He has also appeared in some Telugu films where he is credited as Murali. Karthik is popularly known as ''Navarasa Nayagan'' (multi-talented actor) for his "ability to emote all forms of actions and emotions". He has acted in more than 125 films. Singamuthu
Singamuthu (born 8 December 1958) is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films as a comedian. Career Singamuthu has primarily appeared in comedy roles in films as a supporting actor debuting in ''Neram Nalla Irukku'' (1987). He started developing his career in the acting sector by doing small comedy roles in cinemas. He often shared screen space with popular comedian Vadivelu, and the duo has given many hilarious comedy scenes to Tamil movies. Singamuthu's son, Vaasan Karthik, made his debut as an actor through ''Maa Madurai'' (2007), but failed to make a career in the film industry. Controversy In 2010, Vadivelu held a press conference, accusing Singamuthu for forgery and financial cheating. The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. It is Malaysia's oldest newspaper still in print (though not the first), having been founded as ''The Straits Times'' on 15 July 1845. It was relaunched as the ''New Straits Times'' on 13 August 1974. The paper served as Malaysia's only broadsheet format English-language newspaper. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. In 1999, eight years after the group's founder Ramnath Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members. The southern editions took the name ''The New Indian Express'', while the northern editions, based in Mumbai, retained the original ''Indian Express'' name with ''"The"'' prefixed to the title.
