Sandro Altunashvili
Sandro Altunashvili () ( ka, სანდრო ალთუნაშვილი; born 19 May 1997) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Austrian club Wolfsberger AC. He is the two-time winner of the Erovnuli Liga. Altunashvili has also won the Georgian Cup once and Super Cup twice. Individually, he has been twice recognized as the Erovnuli Liga Midfielder of the Year and three times named in Team of the Season. Club career Altunashvili started his career at second-division club Saburtalo in 2014. He was a regular player of the team that first gained promotion, gradually established itself and started winning trophies in Erovnuli Liga. His club secured the league title in 2018. A year later Altunashvili lifted the national Cup as well. This season he was selected in Team of the Year for the first time. In early 2021, Altunashvili moved to Dinamo Batumi on a two-year deal. The 2017 Erovnuli Liga (formerly known as ''Umaglesi Liga'') was the 29th season of top-tier football in Georgia. Samtredia are the defending champions. The season began on 4 March 2017 and ended on 26 November 2017. Teams and stadia Zugdidi and Tskhinvali were directly relegated at the end of the previous season; Sioni Bolnisi and Guria Lanchkhuti were also relegated after losing play-off ties. 2016 Umaglesi Liga
The 2016 Umaglesi Liga was a special transitional season of top-tier football in Georgia. Dinamo Tbilisi were the defending champions. This transitional season is a result of the Georgian Football Federation's decision to change the Umaglesi Liga season from an Autumn–Spring schedule to a Spring–Autumn one. The season began on 7 August 2016 and concluded with the second leg of the championship final on 11 December 2016. The UEFA Youth League is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) since 2013. In its current format, it is contested by the youth teams of the clubs competing in the UEFA Champions League group stage, plus the domestic youth champions of the best-ranked national associations. The Erovnuli Liga ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა - lit. National League) is the top division of professional football in Georgia. Since 1990, it has been organized by the Professional Football League of Georgia and Georgian Football Federation. Pirveli Liga
The Georgian Erovnuli Liga 2 ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა 2; ), organized since 1990 by GFF, serves as the second division of professional football in Georgia. Under the current name the league was introduced for the 2017 season as a part of reorganization process of the entire league system. It was formerly known as Pirveli liga (the First league). Structure There are ten clubs competing in Erovnuli Liga 2. During the season each club plays against its rival four times, twice at home and twice away. At the end of each season the winner gains automatic promotion and the bottom club is relegated.
