Sandrey Davison
Sandrey Davison (born 25 January 2003) is a Jamaican sprinter. Early life He attended St. Catherine High School in St. Catherine Parish in Jamaica. Career In July 2021, he won an NACAC Under-20 200m bronze medal in the 100 metres in San Jose, Costa Rica. He was a silver medalist in the 4x100m relay at the 2021 World Athletics Championships in Nairobi. He won back-to-back Jamaican U20 titles in the 100 metres in 2021 and 2022, lowering jis Personal best to 10.20 seconds in Kingston, Jamaica in June 2022. He competed at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia. However, he suffered a hamstring tear at the championships and was unable to run the final. Davison joined the Elite Performance Track Club in 2022 after signing a professional contract with sportswear manufacturing company Puma. However, he was only able to run four races in 2023. Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. 2024 Prefontaine Classic
The 2024 Prefontaine Classic was the 49th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Held on 25 May at Hayward Field, it was the 5th leg of the 2024 Diamond League – the highest-level international track and field circuit. Highlights The meeting was highlighted by the Bowerman Mile. The race featured defending Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen as well as the last two world champions Josh Kerr and Jake Wightman against American mile record holder Yared Nuguse and 3000 m steeplechase world record holder Lamecha Girma. Kerr won the race in a new British record of 3:45.34. Another highlight included a new world record in the women's 10,000 metres, set by Beatrice Chebet of Kenya in a time of 28:54.14. 2024 Diamond League
The 2024 Diamond League is the fifteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition is a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events is 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast. Events losing Diamond Discipline status will feature on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the second tier of track and field meetings. The 2024 World Athletics Relays will be held in Nassau, Bahamas, during 2 days in April or May 2024. The first 3 editions of the IAAF World Relays (former name) have been held in the same site: 2014 IAAF World Relays, 2015 IAAF World Relays and 2017 IAAF World Relays. Michael Frater Order of Distinction, O.D (born 6 October 1982) is a Jamaican retired sprint (running), sprinter who specialised in the 100 metres event. He won a silver medal at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics, 2005 World Championships and a gold medal at the 2003 Pan American Games for the event. He has also been successful as part of the Jamaican 4 × 100 metres relay team, setting the world record in athletics, world record and List of Olympic records in athletics, Olympic record at the 2012 London Olympics and 2008 Beijing Olympics.
