Xalapa
Xalapa or Jalapa (, ), officially Xalapa-Enríquez (), is the capital city of the Mexican state of Veracruz and the name of the surrounding municipality. Acayucan Municipality is one of the 212 municipalities of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located in the state's southeast, in the Olmeca region. The municipal seat is the city of Acayucan, Veracruz. It covers a total of 724.65 km² (279.79 sq mi). At the 2005 INEGI Census, the municipality reported a population of 79,459, of whom 49,945 lived in the municipal seat.
