''Sammakka Sarakka'' is a 2000 Telugu-language action drama film directed by Dasari Narayana Rao starring himself, Roja (actress), Roja, Ramya Krishna and Prakash Raj. Cast Production The film began production in 1999 but was stalled because of Dasari Narayana Rao's ''Pichodi Chetilo Raayi'' (1999). Ramya Krishna had not received remuneration for the film, so she left the film and the duration of her role was shortened. Dasari Narayana Rao
Dasari Narayana Rao (4 May 1947 – 30 May 2017) was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, lyricist, and politician known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, in addition to Hindi cinema. He has directed more than 150 feature films in a variety of genres. He holds the '' Limca World Record'' for directing the most number of films in the world. He is known by the moniker ''Darsaka Ratna'' (). His works emphasize social injustice, corruption and gender discrimination. Narayana Rao has received two National Film Awards, nine state Nandi Awards including the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and four Filmfare Awards South including the Lifetime Achievement. Suddala Ashok Teja (born Gurram Ashok Teja; 4 April 1954) is an Indian poet and lyricist known for his work in Telugu cinema and Telugu literature. He has written lyrics for over 2200 songs. He won the National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the song "Nenu saitam" from ''Tagore'' (2004).
