Salomón Manríquez
Salomón Eduardo Manríquez Rojas (born September 15, 1982) is a Venezuelan former professional baseball player and current professional baseball coach in the Texas Rangers organization. He played for the Expos, Nationals, Rangers, Mets, and Dodgers. Playing career He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Montreal Expos in 1999 and played in the Expos/Nationals farm system through 2006, with his highest level being a couple of stints with the AA Harrisburg Senators in 2004 and 2006. He then played for the Frisco RoughRiders in the Texas Rangers system in 2007 and the Binghamton Mets in the New York Mets system in 2008. Unable to land with an affiliated team in 2009 he joined the Newark Bears of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, where he hit .311 and was named an Atlantic League All-Star. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are an American Minor League Baseball team based in Binghamton, New York. The team, which plays in the Eastern League, is the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets major-league club. The Rumble Ponies play in Mirabito Stadium, located in Binghamton. Wichita Wingnuts
The Wichita Wingnuts were an independent baseball team based in Wichita, Kansas, in the United States. The Wingnuts were members of the South Division of the American Association of Professional Baseball. An expansion franchise in the 2008 season, the Wingnuts played their home games at Lawrence–Dumont Stadium through the end of the 2018 season. The Wingnuts replaced the Wichita Wranglers, the former Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. The first Wichita Wingnuts manager was Kash Beauchamp, who gained notoriety for his tirade during a game on July 9. Beauchamp's contract was not renewed at the end of the 2008 season. A United States military occupation code, or a military occupational specialty code (MOS code), is a nine-character code used in the United States Army and United States Marine Corps to identify a specific job. In the United States Air Force, a system of Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSC) is used. The Spokane Indians are a Minor League Baseball team located in Spokane Valley, the city immediately east of Spokane, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest. The Camden Riversharks were an American professional baseball team based in Camden, New Jersey, from 2001 to 2015. 2013 World Baseball Classic
The 2013 World Baseball Classic (WBC) was an international professional baseball competition, held from March 2 to March 19, 2013. This was the third iteration of the WBC, following the two previous tournaments, held in 2006 and 2009. Unlike the two previous WBCs, which consisted of the same sixteen countries, only the twelve countries that won at least one game in the 2009 WBC were guaranteed a berth in the main tournament. The automatic qualifiers were Australia, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, South Korea, the United States, and Venezuela.
