Rauma (; sv, Raumo) is a town and municipality of around () inhabitants on the west coast of Finland, north of Turku, and south of Pori. Ilmari Unho
Ilmari Unho (22 October 1906 − 3 April 1961) was a Finnish actor, film director, and screenwriter. Unho was employed by Suomi-Filmi for most of his filmmaking career. Unho was born in Uusikaupunki in 1906. He started his film career as an actor in the 1925 film ''Pohjalaisia'' and also played roles in ''Meren kasvojen edessä'' (1926) and ''Kajastus'' (1930) during his early career. He worked as a theatre manager and journalist until 1938 when he was hired by Suomi-Filmi, a company he would stay with for the remainder of his career. Initially, Unho worked as a screenwriter. He wrote the scripts for ''Jääkärin morsian'' (1938) and ''Aktivistit'' (1939), but quickly transitioned into the director's chair, with the comedies ''Punahousut'' (1939) and ''Kersantilleko Emma nauroi?'' (1940). During his career, Unho directed 26 films. ''Hilma's Name Day'' ( fi, Hilmanpäivät) is a 1954 Finnish romantic comedy film written and directed by Matti Kassila. It is based on the 1936 novel by Agapetus, telling story about a small village preparing to celebrate the shopkeeper's wife's name day when a fire breaks out in the night and turns out to be more difficult to put out than expected. The film stars Matti Ranin, Aino Mantsas, Tauno Palo and Edvin Laine. Like the novel, Kassila wanted set the film in the 1930s, and for that, a possible authentic shooting environment was needed to get the impression of the period. In the end, a suitable destination can be found in the Nurmijärvi village, where the film was filmed. The film received a positive reception from critics when it was released. In 1955, the film won two Jussi Awards: for best direction (Matti Kassila) and best set design (Aarre Koivisto).
