Sahid Rangasala
Sahid Rangasala ( ne, सहिद रंगशाला) is a multi-purpose stadium in Biratnagar, Province No. 1, Nepal. It has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. It was renovated for hosting the SAFF Women's Championship in 2019. The stadium is home to Morang XI and Biratnagar City F.C. History The stadium has organised Mahendra Gold Cup (presently Birat Gold Cup) for the first time in 1961 A.D. It held the opening ceremony of Seventh National Games by the president of Nepal, Bidhya Devi Bhandari. In preparation of the 2019 SAFF Women's Championship, Biratnagar metropolitan city invested NRs. 10 million into the renovation of the stadium. Biratnagar () is a metropolitan city in Nepal, which serves as the capital of Province No. 1. With a population of 242,548 as per the 2011 census, it is the largest city in the province and also the headquarters of Morang district. As per the preliminary report of 2021 Nepal census, Biratnagar has an estimated city population of 244,750. Birat Gold Cup ( Nepali: विराट गोल्डकप, previously called the Mahendra Gold Cup) is an annual football tournament held in Biratnagar, the second largest metropolitan city of Nepal. It has been held at the Sahid Rangsala stadium in Biratnagar, Morang, Nepal every year since 2012 A.D. The event witnesses participation from several national and international teams, and is amongst the most sought after football tournament of the nation. The tournament for the year 2077 B.S. Bidhya Devi Bhandari
Bidya Devi Bhandari (, ; born 19 June 1961) is a Nepali politician who is serving as the second and current president of Nepal. She formerly served as the minister of defence and minister of environment and population. She is the first woman to hold the office in the country. She served as the vice-chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) and was the chair of the All Nepal Women's Association before being elected president. Bhandari previously served as the Minister of Defence, the first woman to hold the office, from 2009 to 2011. 2019 SAFF Women's Championship
The 2019 SAFF Women's Championship was the 5th edition of the SAFF Women's Championship, the biennial international women's football championship contested by the national teams of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Initially, scheduled from 17 to 26 December 2018 in Sri Lanka, the competition was rescheduled, as Sri Lanka withdrew as hosts. Afterwards, it was scheduled to be held in 2019 from 12–22 March and to be hosted by Nepal. India is the current champions having defeated Nepal by 3–1 goals on 22 March 2019 in the final.
