Morang XI is a Nepali football club which played the National Football League in Nepal. This club was formed in Biratnagar. They reached the semi-finals of the Birat Gold Cup in February 2016. Sahid Rangsala
Sahid Rangasala ( ne, सहिद रंगशाला) is a multi-purpose stadium in Biratnagar, Province No. 1, Nepal. It has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. It was renovated for hosting the SAFF Women's Championship in 2019. The stadium is home to Morang XI and Biratnagar City F.C. History The stadium has organised Mahendra Gold Cup (presently Birat Gold Cup) for the first time in 1961 A.D. It held the opening ceremony of Seventh National Games by the president of Nepal, Bidhya Devi Bhandari. The champions secured qualification to a continental cup, previously the AFC President's Cup (now AFC Cup). It took place for two seasons in 2011–12 and 2015. Due to the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, the 2015 season was halted for several mothns, before professional level football was paused in Nepal due to the earthquake's aftermath, until the next season of the 2018–19 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Biratnagar () is a metropolitan city in Nepal, which serves as the capital of Province No. 1. Birat Gold Cup ( Nepali: विराट गोल्डकप, previously called the Mahendra Gold Cup) is an annual football tournament held in Biratnagar, the second largest metropolitan city of Nepal. It has been held at the Sahid Rangsala stadium in Biratnagar, Morang, Nepal every year since 2012 A.D. Mahaguru Phalgunanda () also known as "Mahaguru Phalgunanda" or Phalgunanda Lingden (1885–1949) was a leader of Kirat religion in Nepal Kirat people of Nepal. Early life Falgunanda Lingden was born on 10 November 1885 in Ilam district of Nepal. Career He is known as Mahaguru (the great teacher), especially among the Limbu, Rai, Sunuwar, Yakhkha, Lohorung, Dhimal and Jurel Kirat people. Three Star Club is a Nepali professional football club based in Patan, Lalitpur, that competes in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, the top flight of Nepalese football. Thimphu Football Club was a professional football club from Bhutan, based at the Changlimithang Stadium. History The club finished in a qualifying position during the 2001 season and were then drawn in Group A along with Paro and Drukpol. They managed a win against Paro and then drew with Drukpol to top the group and qualified for the semifinals. Although they lost to Samtse in the semifinals, they beat Drukpol in the third place final to finish third overall. Thimpu also participated in 2002, although their final position is not known.
