Birat Gold Cup ( Nepali: विराट गोल्डकप, previously called the Mahendra Gold Cup) is an annual football tournament held in Biratnagar, the second largest metropolitan city of Nepal. It has been held at the Sahid Rangsala stadium in Biratnagar, Morang, Nepal every year since 2012 A.D. The event witnesses participation from several national and international teams, and is amongst the most sought after football tournament of the nation. The tournament for the year 2077 B.S. (2021 A.D.) is scheduled to night matches and would supposedly be the first Nepalese tournament to do so outside Kathmandu valley. A total of 10 participating teams from across 2 nations (Nepal and India) are scheduled to play for the cup this year. Sahid Rangasala ( ne, सहिद रंगशाला) is a multi-purpose stadium in Biratnagar, Province No. 1, Nepal. It has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. It was renovated for hosting the SAFF Women's Championship in 2019. The stadium is home to Morang XI and Biratnagar City F.C. Nepal A.P.F. Club (), commonly known as APF Club, is a sports club based in Kathmandu, Bagmati Province, Nepal. The club is the sports-wing of the Armed Police Force. History The APF Club was established on 24 October 2001, following the tradition of forming a sports club within an official group, as the Police and army had already done. Initially, the club was named Gyanendra APF Club, in tribute to the King at the time. United Sikkim Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Gangtok, Sikkim. Founded in 2011, the club usually competed in the Sikkim Premier Division League. United Sikkim is the only club from Sikkim to have played in the I-League, one of the top flights of Indian football league system.
