Sachse, Texas
Sachse ( ) is a city in Collin and Dallas counties in the U.S. state of Texas and is part of the DFW metroplex. An eastern suburb of Dallas, the city population was 20,329, as of the 2010 census with an estimated population of 26,046 people today. Anna Sachse-Hofmeister (26 July 1850 – 15 November 1904) was an Austrian operatic soprano, appearing at the Berlin State Opera, Berlin Court Opera and other opera houses in Germany. Life She was born in Gumpoldskirchen in Lower Austria in 1850, where her father Franz Hofmeister was a schoolteacher and director of the choir of St Michael's Church in the town. Arthur Sachse
Arthur Otto Sachse (22 May 1860 – 25 July 1920) was an Australian politician. He was born in Toowoomba to Dr Frederick Sachse and Miss Glisson. He was educated in Brisbane and became an engineer, working around North Queensland and the Northern Territory. He was consulting engineer for the British North Borneo Company, and worked to abolish the slave trade. In 1885 he settled in Victoria, where he worked as a consulting engineer and patents and trademarks attorney. In 1888 he married Frederica Alice Lange. He won a by-election for the Victorian Legislative Council province of North Eastern in 1892, and was briefly a minister without portfolio in June 1902 before his appointment as Vice-President of the Board of Land and Works. Edward Sachse
Edward Sachse (1804-1873) was an artist and lithographer whose business E. Sachse & Co. in Baltimore, Maryland published prints of regional sights and cities. Works include a 12 sheet aerial view of Baltimore that employed several artists over a three-year period. The firm also produced a four sheet rendition of Syracuse. Prints of Washington D.C. include a version of the Washington Monument that was planned but never built. He was born in Görlitz, Germany. He and his company produced many colorful and skillful prints. One of his works is a large view of Baltimore printed on 12 sheets of paper. He also produced a series of views of American Civil War era military encampments and hospitals in Baltimore and Washington, DC. Emma Sachse
Emma Sachse (born Emma Claus, 8 May 1887 – 24 January 1965) was a German activist for feminist and other political causes. She was a member of the Thuringia parliament (''"Landtag"'') and later became chair of the Workers' Welfare Organisation (''"Arbeiterwohlfahrt"'' / AWO) in Thuringia. Life Emma Claus was born in Göttingen, the sixth of her parents' nine recorded children. Her father was an unskilled rural labourer and the family was poor. The family atmosphere in which she grew up was strongly Christian, and she herself excelled during her six years at junior school, but it was not financially possible for her to progress to secondary school. Jessica Sachse is a paralympic athlete from Germany competing mainly in category F46 sprints and javelin events. Sachse competed in five Paralympics, winning medals in four of them. Her first games were in Seoul in 1988 where she won silvers in the 100m and 200m and bronzes in the 400m and javelin. Neil Frederick Sachse (3 January 1951 – 25 August 2020) was a South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and Victorian Football League (VFL) Australian rules footballer, who was left a quadriplegic after an on-field accident in a 1975 VFL game.
