Sabrina Frederick (formerly Frederick-Traub; born 23 November 1996) is an English-born Australian rules footballer who plays for the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. She was one of Brisbane's two marquee players for the 2017 season, alongside Tayla Harris. Early life Frederick spent her early years in Brighton, England. 2018 AFL Women's Season
The 2018 AFL Women's season was the second season of the AFL Women's competition, the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia. The season featured eight clubs, ran from 2 February until 24 March, and comprised a 7-game home-and-away season followed by a grand final featuring the top two clubs. Maddie Shevlin
Maddie Shevlin (born 21 September 1997) is an Australian rules footballer playing for in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Initially a tag rugby player, Shevlin played with the Gungahlin Jets in the AFL Canberra for two seasons before she was drafted by Melbourne in the 2017 AFLW rookie draft. Delisted after one season, she was re-drafted by Collingwood in the 2018 national draft and made her professional debut in round 3 of the 2019 season. After three seasons she was traded to Richmond. Junior career Shevlin originally played OzTag, a variant of rugby league, representing Australia in the sport. She took up football in 2016 after encouragement from her teacher. Shevlin began playing as a wing for the Gungahlin Jets in the AFL Canberra, but missed ten weeks of her first season after she dislocated her thumb in her first match. The 2019 AFL Women's draft consisted of the various periods when the 14 clubs in the AFL Women's competition can recruit players prior to the competition's 2020 season. At the conclusion of the period clubs were required to have 27 senior-listed and three rookie-listed players. 2017 AFL Women's Rising Star
The AFL Women's Rising Star is an Australian rules football award given annually to the best young player in the AFL Women's (AFLW) for the year. Two eligible players are nominated each round of the home-and-away season; the players must have been under 21 at the beginning of the year and cannot have been previously nominated. Players suspended during the year cannot win. After the season's completion, an expert panel votes on the recipient. The Peel Thunder Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The team is based in Mandurah, Western Australia, with their home ground being Rushton Park. The club joined the WAFL as an expansion team in 1997. Pinjarra is a town in the Peel region of Western Australia along the South Western Highway, from the state capital, Perth and south-east of the coastal city of Mandurah. Its local government area is the Shire of Murray. At the 2016 census, Pinjarra had a population of 4910.
