Sabaidee Luang Prabang
''Sabaidee Luang Prabang'' ( th, สะบายดี หลวงพะบาง, English title: ''Good Morning, Luang Prabang'') is a 2008 romantic drama film directed by Sakchai Deenan and starring Ananda Everingham. It was the first commercial film shot in Laos since the country adopted communism in 1975. Plot Sorn (Everingham), a Thai photographer visiting Laos, falls in love with his beautiful Laotian tour guide, Noi (Pallawong). The film features several tourist sites in Laos. Cast * Ananda Everingham as Sorn * Khamly Philawong as Noi Production Director Sakchai Deenan claimed the plotline was inspired by a visit to Laos in which he fell in love with a Laotian woman and imagining her as a tour guide. He deliberately created a simple plot "so it would not be too hard to get approval from the Lao government." Ananda Everingham
Ananda Everingham ( th, อนันดา เอเวอริงแฮม; born 31 May 1982) is a Thai actor and model. Working primarily in Thai films, he is best known for his lead role in the 2004 horror film, '' Shutter''. Biography Ananda Matthew Everingham is the son of a Laotian-born mother, Keo Sirisomphone and Australian father, Bangkok-based photojournalist John Everingham. He is of Lao and Australian descent. His parents' story was loosely dramatised in the 1983 NBC television movie '' Love Is Forever'', starring Michael Landon and Laura Gemser, which tells of a photojournalist who scuba dives under the Mekong River to rescue his lover from communist-ruled Laos in 1977. His parents divorced in 1997. John remarried a Chinese woman. Ananda has one brother and two half brothers. Ananda was born in Thailand and attended Bangkok Patana School. Vientiane ( , ; lo, ວຽງຈັນ, ''Viangchan'', ) is the capital and largest city of Laos.
