Saanich Braves
The Saanich Predators are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Saanich, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the South Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL). Formerly known as the Saanich Braves, they play their home games at George Pearkes Arena. Norm Kelly is the team's president and general manager, Sam Waterfield is the coach and they are captained by forward Jack Rachwalski. In July 2020, team ownership announced a rebrand in respect to the First Nations communities. Saanich, British Columbia
Saanich ( ) is a district municipality on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, within the Greater Victoria area. The Comox Valley Glacier Kings (nicknamed the Yetis) are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the North Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL). The Glacier Kings play their home games at Comox Valley Sports Centre, which has a capacity of 1,400. Matt Irwin
Matthew Irwin (born November 29, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). Irwin has previously played in the NHL for the San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins, Nashville Predators, Anaheim Ducks and Buffalo Sabres. Playing career Amateur He was named best defenceman in the British Columbia Hockey League Coastal Conference two years in a row, 2007 and 2008, while playing for the Nanaimo Clippers. Adam Cracknell (born July 15, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger who is currently playing with the Tucson Roadrunners in the American Hockey League (AHL) Playing career Junior Cracknell played junior hockey for the Kootenay Ice in the Western Hockey League (WHL) between 2002 and 2006. The Westshore Wolves are a Junior B Ice Hockey team based in Colwood, British Columbia, Canada. They are a member of the South Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League.
