SSD Città Di Teramo
Società Sportiva Dilettantistica Città di Teramo is an Italian association football club based in Teramo, Abruzzo. The club was founded in 1929, but its origin is traditionally traced back to 1913 when the first football match was played in the city of Teramo. The team throughout its history has played mainly in Serie C. The club's record includes two Serie C2 championships (1985–86 and 2001-2002) and three Serie D championships (1973–74, 1993–94 and 2011–12). The club also came 2nd place in the 1984 Anglo-Italian Cup History The first recorded football match in Teramo took place on 15 July 1913. On 25 August 1929 l'Associazione Sportiva Teramo was founded originally playing in red and yellow kits, however in the following year the club was bankrupt and was taken over by the Sportiva Società Ginnastica Gran Sasso Teramo which gave the team their famous red and white kits. Lega Pro Prima Divisione
Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. Arjan Stafa
Arjan Stafa (born 13 June 1964) is an Albanian retired football defender who played for the Albania national team. Club career Stafa played for Dinamo Tirana during the 1980s alongside fellow internationals Sulejman Demollari and Agim Canaj. Following the fall of communism, Stafa was among the first players to move abroad, ending up in Italy where he played for Teramo. Simone Pepe
Simone Pepe (; born 30 August 1983) is an Italian former footballer who played as a winger, on either side of the pitch. After starting out at Roma, he went on to compete in Serie A for 12 seasons, spending most of his time at Udinese and Juventus and amassing totals of 251 games and 31 goals, winning four consecutive national championships with the latter club. Florian Myrtaj (born 15 September 1976) is an Albanian former footballer who played as a striker. Myrtaj, who moved to Italy in 1989, aged 13, after having been signed by the Modena F.C. youth section, is also an Italian citizen. Club career Myrtaj was born in Vlorë. Vasile Mogoș (born 31 October 1992) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Liga I club CFR Cluj and the Romania national team. 2015 Italian Football Scandal
The 2015 Italian football scandal, or ''Dirty Soccer'', was a scandal that involved rigged matches in 2014–15 season, involving Calcio Catania. The multimillion-dollar match-fixing scandal was suspected to be orchestrated by 'Ndrangheta, the most powerful mafia syndicate in Italy. Origins and etymology The scandal first came to light as a consequence of investigations of prosecutors by the Italian football agency, Divisione Investigazioni Generali e Operazioni Speciali. The Serie B (), currently named Serie Balkrishna Industries, BKT for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie A.
