SG Dynamo Zinnwald is a sector of SV Dynamo founded on October 15, 1956 and located in Altenberg, Saxony. It was renamed on October 7, 1990 to ''Sächsischer Wintersportverein Altenberg''. In October 1992 the club teamed up with ''SV Zinnerz Altenberg'', the former BSG Stahl Altenberg to SSV Altenberg. Jens Steinigen
Jens Steinigen (born 2 September 1966) is a former East German and German biathlete. He started his career in 1984, and became junior world champion. Due to the sporting problems in the DDR he failed to qualify for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. He won with the German relay team together with Ricco Groß, Mark Kirchner and Fritz Fischer at the 1992 Olympics in Albertville the gold medal. The following year he did again win a medal with the German relay team this time a bronze medal at the World Championships. After his career as biathlete Steinigen became a courtlawyer. Klaus Siebert
Klaus Siebert (29 April 1955 – 24 April 2016) was a German biathlete and biathlon coach who raced for East Germany. Career At the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, Siebert won a silver medal on the relay with the East German relay team. In the Biathlon World Championships, Siebert earned two gold medals with the East German relay team in 1978 and 1979, and a bronze medal from 1977. He also garnered three individual medals including a gold medal from the 20 km in 1979 and two bronzes from the 10 km in 1975 and 1978. After retiring from competition he became a coach. He coached in Germany, China and Belarus. He returned to his coaching role with the Belarusian national biathlon team in January 2012 after spending much of the previous year ill with cancer. However, Siebert stepped down from this role ahead of the 2014-15 season due to health issues. Siebert died in Altenberg, Germany on 24 April 2016 after a long battle with cancer, aged 60. André Sehmisch
André Sehmisch (born 27 September 1964 in Steinheidel-Erlabrunn) is a former German biathlete. Career In 1987 and 1989 he became world champion with the East German relay team. In 1986 he won the overall World Cup. After the German reunification, Sehmisch was passed over for many younger racers. In the 1992–93 season he finished second in the overall European Cup. Sehmisch retired after that season. He later opened a skiing school. He began his career at the SG Dynamo Schwarzenberg / Sportvereinigung (SV) Dynamo. Eberhard Rösch (born 9 April 1954) is a former East German biathlete. Rösch finished third overall in the World Cup in the 1977–78 and 1979–80 seasons. He worked for 17 years as a Stasi informer.
