SEAT Ronda
The SEAT Ronda (codenamed ''022A'') was a small family car produced by the Spanish automaker SEAT from 1982 to 1986, and styled by Rayton Fissore in collaboration with the Technical Centre in Martorell. The Ronda was also briefly sold in the United Kingdom as the SEAT Málaga hatchback. 177,869 Rondas were built in total. The Ronda was the first SEAT model named after a Spanish city. Design The SEAT Ronda was a restyled SEAT Ritmo which in its turn derived from the Fiat Ritmo. However, in 1983 the Arbitration Chamber of Paris (subsequent to the acrimonious split between FIAT and SEAT) judged that the differences between those cars were important enough so as not to consider the Ronda to be a rebadged Ritmo. The most visible external design differences between a Ritmo and a Ronda are rectangular headlights on the Ronda in place of the round ones featured on the Ritmo, different tail lights and panels, and changed door handles. Fiat 124 Series Engine
Designed by Aurelio Lampredi, the Fiat 124 engine first appeared in the all-new Fiat 124 in April 1966. The in-line four-cylinder engine comprised an iron block with an aluminium cylinder-head with pushrod actuated valves. The belt-driven design was ahead of its time when introduced. European production of the petrol versions ended with the Fiat 131 in 1984, but later diesel derivatives continued to be built until 1999. It did have a longer life in its twin-cam iteration, which continued in production until 2000. While originally of an overhead valve design, an overhead cam version was added to the facelifted 131 in 1981. The capacity was initially (in the Fiat 124), but eventually ranged between . There were also three SOHC diesel iterations of 1.4, 1.7, and 1.9 litres. The last versions of this engine to be built were the diesels. The direct-injected diesel version was the first direct-injection diesel to appear in a production passenger car, the Fiat Croma Turbo D i.d. Engin ...

SEAT Fura
The SEAT Fura was a supermini car which was produced by Spanish car manufacturer SEAT between 1981 and 1986, and based on the Fiat 127, which had been built by the firm since April 1972. Once the license to the 127 had expired, SEAT was forced to develop a new version with a new name which was introduced in end of 1981 for the model year of 1982. It was available in three and five door hatchback body styles. Sales commenced in January 1982. The two and four door sedan versions of the Fiat 127 were discontinued. The Fura was never available with the larger 1,010 cc unit which was seen in the SEAT 127, but did receive the five speed manual transmission as standard. After the facelift of 1983, the SEAT Fura Dos (two) was introduced: it didn’t differ much from its predecessor mainly through smaller headlights and turn signals. The launch of the first generation SEAT Ibiza in April 1984 made the car largely redundant. For slightly more than one year, these two compact hatche ...
