Robin Harmony
Robin Harmony (born October 20, 1961) is an American college basketball coach. She currently serves as head coach of the College of Charleston Cougars women's basketball team. She previously was head coach at Lamar University, Lamar and St. Thomas University (Florida), St. Thomas University. Prior to that, she served as assistant coach (six years) and associate head coach (twelve years) at Miami Hurricanes. She split her stay at the University of Miami by serving as an assistant coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University for one season prior to her return to the Hurricanes. Playing career Harmony was a three-year letter winner at Hershey High School (Pennsylvania), Hershey High School located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. At the University of Miami, she earned a letter all four years playing for the Miami Hurricanes. The Charleston Cougars women's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Colonial Athletic Association. Home games are played at TD Arena, located on College of Charleston's campus in Charleston, South Carolina. The Cougars are coached by Robin Harmony, completing her second season. Southland Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The Southland Conference's Women’s Basketball Tournament began in 1983, with the winner of the tournament receiving the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. There was no tournament from 1984-1987, but in 1988 the season-ending tradition returned for good, with a format much as in the men's tournament, with opening rounds at the home court of the higher seed, and a designated location thereafter. Starting in 2007, both the men's and women's tournaments were played at the same neutral site, for all rounds. The tournament was held at the Merrell Center, Leonard E. Merrell Center in the Houston suburb of Katy, Texas from 2008 to 2022. Starting in 2023, the event will move to The Legacy Center on the campus of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, reportedly as part of a deal that kept McNeese in the Southland after it had been courted by Conference USA and nearly joined the Western Athletic Conference. 2019 Women's National Invitation Tournament
The 2019 Women's National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 64 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2019 Women's NCAA tournament. The tournament committee announced the 64-team field on March 18, following the selection of the NCAA Tournament field. The tournament began on March 20, 2019, and concluded on April 6, 2019, with the championship game televised on the CBS Sports Network. In the championship game, Arizona defeated Northwestern 56–42 to win the tournament. The 2017 Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) is a single-elimination tournament of 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams that did not participate in the 2017 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament or 2017 Women's National Invitation Tournament. The 2017 field was announced on March 13. First round WBI games took place on March 15 and 16; second-round games were played March 18 and March 19. 2014 Women's National Invitation Tournament
The 2014 Women's National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 64 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2014 Women's NCAA tournament. The annual tournament began on March 19 and ended on April 5. All games were played on the campus sites of participating schools. The Tournament was won by the Rutgers Scarlet Knights who defeated the UTEP Miners, 56–54, in the championship game before a sellout crowd of 12,222 at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.
