Richard Bond (1798–1861) was an early American architect who practiced primarily in Boston, Massachusetts. Life and career Richard Bond, son of a farmer, was born March 5, 1798, in Conway, Massachusetts. He was drawn to the study of architecture by the construction of the First Parish Church in nearby Northampton, which was completed in 1812 and designed by Asher Benjamin. As a young adult, Bond moved to Boston and established himself as a carpenter. Bond is known to have been working as an architect-builder beginning in the mid-1820s, later crossing over into pure architecture. In 1833 he became the partner of Isaiah Rogers and formed Rogers & Bond. The firm lasted only until the following year, when Rogers left Boston to reestablish his office in New York City. Bond worked alone until 1850, when he made architect Charles Edward Parker a partner. Bond & Parker lasted until 1853, when both resumed his independent practice. Dicky Bond
Richard Bond (14 December 1883 – 25 April 1955) was an English footballer who played outside right. He was capped eight times by England and spent the vast majority of his playing career at Bradford City where he played more than 300 games. Club playing career Preston North End Born in Garstang, England, Bond started his career with the Royal Artillery before he signed professional forms with Preston North End in August 1902. He was part of Preston's Division Two championship winning team in 1903–04. Two years later, he was a regular, as the club were The Football League runners-up. Bradford City Bond joined Bradford City in May 1909 for a £950 fee, a record fee for Preston at the time. Bond represented City during the most successful spell in its history. Richard M. Bond (April 23, 1921March 25, 2015) was an American politician who served in the Washington House of Representatives from the 6th district as a member of the Republican Party. Bond was educated at the California Institute of Technology, University of California, Berkeley, and University of Southern California. Dick Bond (Kansas Politician)
Richard Lee Bond (September 18, 1935July 23, 2020) was an American politician who served in the Kansas Senate from the 8th district from 1986 to 2001. A member of the Republican Party, Bond also served as the Majority Whip and President of the Senate. Prior to his tenure in the Kansas Senate, he served as an assistant to three members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Bond was born in Kansas and practiced law after graduating from the University of Kansas. He served as a city attorney and as an administrative assistant to Representatives Robert Ellsworth, Larry Winn, and Jan Meyers. In 1986, he was appointed to the Kansas Senate to fill the vacancy caused by Jack D. Walker's election as lieutenant governor. Richard John Bond (born 8 February 1948) is a former English cricketer. Bond was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Beck Row, Suffolk. Bond made his debut for Suffolk in the 1981 Minor Counties Championship against Norfolk. Bond played Minor counties cricket infrequently for Suffolk from 1981 to 1987, which included 37 Minor Counties Championship appearances and a single MCCA Knockout Trophy match. He made his only List A appearance against Derbyshire in the 1983 NatWest Trophy. In this match, he scored 27 runs before being dismissed by Steve Oldham. John Richard Bond (born 1950 in Toronto, Ontario), also known as J. Richard Bond, is a Canadian astrophysicist and cosmologist. Bond received his bachelor's degree in 1973 from the University of Toronto and his PhD in theoretical physics in 1979 from Caltech under the supervision of William A. Fowler. Beginning in 1985 he has been a professor at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) and at the University of Toronto. He served 2 five-year terms (1996–2006) as CITA's director, and since 2002 he has been the director of the ''Cosmology and Gravity Program'' for the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR). Richard Norman Bond is a former chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC). Bond earned a bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy from Fordham University and a master's degree in Government from Georgetown University. Bond served in a variety of positions at the Republican National Committee under Presidents Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush prior to being elected chairman in 1992. Despite the President's tough defeat that year, the GOP held their ground in the Senate and gained 10 seats in the House of Representatives.
