Redwood, Ottawa
Redwood is a neighbourhood located in Ottawa's west end. The boundaries of the neighbourhood is Greenbank Road to the east, Baseline Road to the south, Morrison Drive (old Ottawa-Nepean, Ontario, Nepean border line) to the west and Highway 417 (Ontario), Highway 417 to the north. Its sister neighbourhoods are Qualicum (Nepean), Qualicum, Leslie Park, and Queensway Terrace. Residential areas and community housing The majority of residents live in apartments and townhouses located on the east and west ends of the neighbourhood. Detached homes are closer to west side along Morrison Drive. The development in the area started in the 1960s and continued throughout the 1970s and 1980s. There are many strips of townhouses on Baseline Road (Ottawa), Baseline Road and Draper Avenue. Draper Avenue also runs into the Qualicum community. Leslie Park is a suburban neighbourhood in College Ward in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former city of Nepean. Leslie Park is bounded on the north by Baseline Road, on the east by Greenbank Road and on the south by the OCRR. The Leslie Park Community Association has the fence west of Costello St as the western boundary. Queensway Terrace South
Queensway Terrace South is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It used to be part of Queensway Terrace but in 1967, Highway 417 was built and split apart into Queensway Terrace North and South. Briargreen is a suburban neighbourhood located in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Prior to amalgamation in 2001 it was located in the City of Nepean. The borders of the neighbourhood are Pinecrest Cemetery to the north, Centrepointe to the east, Craig Henry to the south, and Greenbank Road to the west. Queensway Terrace North
Queensway Terrace North (QTN) is a neighbourhood in Bay Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Its neighbourhood association is bounded to the north by Carling Avenue, to the west by Pinecrest Road, to the south by the Queensway ( Highway 417), and to the east by the Transitway. These boundaries include the adjacent neighbourhood of Britannia Heights. History A few people first settled in the neighbourhood in the late 1800s closer to Britannia. Most of the homes, however, were built in the 1950s and early 1960s. In 1956 the Campeau Corporation acquired 114 acres of the Arkell farm on Pinecrest Road.
