Ugly Kid Joe
Ugly Kid Joe is an American hard rock band from Isla Vista, California, formed in 1989. The band's name spoofs the glam metal band Pretty Boy Floyd's name. To date, Ugly Kid Joe have released five full-length albums, two compilation albums and two EPs. Their best selling records are ''As Ugly as They Wanna Be'' (1991) and ''America's Least Wanted'' (1992), which were both certified double platinum by the RIAA; the former is notable for being the first EP to go platinum. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Dave Fortman (born July 11, 1967) is an American record producer and musician. He is the guitarist for rock band Ugly Kid Joe, and has worked with bands such as Superjoint Ritual, Snot, Atomship, Eyehategod, Mudvayne, Otep, Slipknot (on their fourth studio album, titled ''All Hope Is Gone''), and Simple Plan, as well as on both of Evanescence's multi-platinum selling albums ''The Open Door'' and ''Fallen''. Early years Fortman was born in Orlando, Florida. His mother Marge Ann Singleton Fortman was a Kindergarten teacher and his father Jon Richey Fortman a retired Biology Professor. "Lola" is a song written by Ray Davies and performed by English rock band the Kinks on their 1970 album ''Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One''. The song details a romantic encounter between a young man and a possible trans woman or cross-dresser, whom he meets in a club in Soho, London. In the song, the narrator describes his confusion towards Lola, who "walked like a woman but talked like a man". The song was released as a single in the United Kingdom on 12 June 1970, while in the United States it was released on 28 June 1970. Judas Priest are an English heavy metal band formed in Birmingham in 1969. They have sold over 50 million albums and are frequently ranked as one of the greatest metal bands of all time. William Whitfield Crane IV (born January 19, 1968) is an American singer and founding member and lead vocalist of the rock band Ugly Kid Joe, which was formed in 1989. He has also worked in music outside his band, from performing guest vocals on numerous songs to contributing to musical efforts with other rock bands such as Life of Agony, Another Animal, and Richards/Crane.
