Graspop
Graspop Metal Meeting is a Belgian Heavy metal music, heavy metal festival held in Dessel each year since 1996, excluding 2020 and 2021 due to covid restrictions. Despite the small size of the festival grounds (upholding a perimeter of only ~4 km) the festival draws a large number of spectators from around Europe, with a total of 220,000 visitors in 2022, up from 200,000 visitors over the course of the 2019 edition, and 152,000 in 2015. History Graspop was not originally a Heavy metal music, heavy metal festival; rather, it was conceived as a local family rock festival, first organised in 1986. In 1995, the headliners were Joe Cocker and Simple Minds. However, due to the public being oversaturated with family festivals, the number of visitors had dropped to an all-time low. Founder Peter Van Geel realized that mainstream rock music held insufficient appeal to festival visitors. Reflecting on the most memorable acts of the preceding years (Motörhead, Ramones, Paradise Lost ( ...

Sugartooth is an alternative rock band that was formed in the early 1990s. Timothy Michael Gruse (guitar), Josh Blum (bass), Dave Fortman (guitar) and Joey Castillo (drums) formed the group after meeting each other in the Southern California band circuit while playing in separate groups. After the departure of their original singer, Marc Hutner joined the band as the singer. They immediately gained a lot of attention from label once their demo was sent around. After a huge bidding war, the band signed with Capitol Records. They then recorded the record at Pachyderm Studios Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Those recordings were soon scrapped and re-recorded in Los Angeles. The Open Door
''The Open Door'' is the second studio album by American rock band Evanescence, released on September 25, 2006, by Wind-up Records. The record symbolizes a new beginning for the band, with Amy Lee in full creative control, incorporating new elements into their previous musical styles, including classical influences and symphonic metal, as well as industrial rock, progressive rock and electronica elements and the use of choirs on several songs.
