Réal Paiement
Réal Paiement (born September 30, 1959) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player. He coached the Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) after spending over two years coaching professional hockey in Europe. His last stint in the QMJHL was serving as head coach and general manager of the St. John's Fog Devils in 2007-2008. He proceeded to coach in The Swiss League, the second tier professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, from 2008-2011 before becoming head coach of the University of Ottawa Men’s Hockey Club from 2011-2014. Paiement was dismissed as head coach by the University of Ottawa in 2014 following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving players on the team. Réal Ouellet (29 September 1935 – 20 February 2022) was a Canadian writer and academic. Biography After his studies in psychology and literature at the Université Laval, Ouellet earned a doctorate from the University of Paris in 1963 with a thesis titled "Les relations humaines dans l’œuvre de Saint-Exupéry". Réal Ménard (born May 13, 1962) is a Canadian politician, who was a Bloc Québécois member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1993 to 2009. Réal Gaston Lemieux (January 3, 1945 – October 24, 1975) was a Canadian ice hockey right wing. He played in the National Hockey League for the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres between 1967 and 1974. Early life Lemieux was born in Victoriaville, Quebec. Réal Lapierre (born August 5, 1944) is a Canadian politician and former École Pointe-Lévy geography teacher. Born in Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Quebec, Lapierre started out in politics as city councillor in Beaumont, Quebec in 1971. In 1974 he became mayor where he remained until 1985. Réal Giguère (24 May 1933 – 11 February 2019) was a Canadian television host and broadcaster. Early life He began his career as a radio announcer from 1956 to 1961. Réal Gauvin (born March 30, 1935) is a Quebec politician, who served as the member for Montmagny-L'Islet in the Quebec National Assembly as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party from 1985 until 2003. Biography Gauvin was manager of a lumber and sawmill company, and was a logger in the family business. He became the owner of R.-A. Gauvin Transport, a company specializing in the transportation of timber. He is also the owner of a pilot license. Réal Godbout is a Quebec writer and comic book illustrator, best known for his ''Michel Risque'' and '' Red Ketchup'' series which he co-created with his long-time friend Pierre Fournier. Réal Cloutier (born July 30, 1956) is a Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Cloutier spent five prolific seasons as a forward (ice hockey), winger in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the Quebec Nordiques. In his rookie season as a professional, he scored 26 goals in 63 games. He proceeded to reach his prime over the next couple of seasons, which started with scoring 60 goals in his sophomore season in 1975. The next season saw him score 66 goals with 75 assists to record a career-high 114 total points as the Nordiques advanced all the way to the Avco Cup Finals. In 17 postseason games that year, he scored 14 goals and had 27 total points as Quebec won their only championship.
